Should British Columbia increase its $30/tonne carbon tax even while other places lag on carbon measures?

Carbon tax hurts the poor, and the older citizens of BC. Why? It not only increases the cost of there fuel for there vehicles but more to the point it costs more for them to heat there homes, its a direct cost increase if they heat there homes with Natural Gas or oil. That extra cost can be as little as $16.00 every bill payment to 5 times that in the colder parts of BC. Yes we might want to reduce the amount we drive our cars, we can't change the amount of fuel we use to keep us warm. We can't reduce the extra cost to get our food or foodstuff to market by adding a carbon tax.
