Where should the money be spent?
On care for the demented. Care homes are expensive and the price of dementia is already too great.
On care for spouses and widows. Spending millions chasing a cure is pointless in the face of current and resolvable problems.
On dementia research. The quicker we find a solution the quicker we can prevent more stories of loneliness.
