Lucy Liu is perhaps the most erudite Dr. Watson, a full partner to her Sherlock. Of course, who can fault James Mason or Ben Kingsley? I'd like to rank the various Watsons by their individual attributes. Of course, the various Sherlocks are the dominant actors, so the role of Watson is by its very nature supportive.
