I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I am sooo upset that it has been cancelled. I don't understand why they would cancel such a great and thrilling show?!! It should be given another chance. The exec's at ABC need their heads examined. I cannot believe they cancelled this - it was a great show with so much to offer. It's so depressing these days that networks don't give shows a chance to get established. Everyone I have told to watch this, does and so was just a matter of time before more people starting following it. I think this is a big mistake. Look at me as an example - I have had many shows I watch cancelled but never wrote about any of them. This one though, I am writing about as I am passionate about it and frankly, pissed that it cancelled!

I started watching on HULU and was hooked from the 1st minute and my daughter and I just watched the finally together and are DYING!! Bring It Back!! Season 2! We need to see what these people do!!! What are you thinking, ABC? What a great thriller with so many wonderful characters! Please don't cancel!! I finally found a show that left me on the edge of my seat. My husband and I would point at the TV and then look at each and holler "No way!" or "I did not see that coming!" It's a great water cooler show, too! There's been many days that me and my co-workers couldn't wait to talk to each other about what happened on the show!

ABC, Really!! The writers on this show did an amazing job. My jaw literally dropped twice! And then you cancel.. WHY. First Resurrection, then Forever (which was such an amazing show) and then this. Get it together! You put on these great shows, get people hooked and then cancel... But renew the Bachelor.. Really!! Get some new people in the decision making positions please. And Bring Back The Family!! I would love to see Adam take his life back over!!!!

I am in disbelief that this show was cancelled. Absolutely brilliant and it doesn't get past ONE season! This series was very well done, implying just the right amount without being overly obvious. Please let them wrap up the stories somehow! Either one more season or maybe a mini series? If this gets picked up elsewhere I will follow!

I have no idea where to put this, but I want this message to be out there. What can be done to bring back the Family?
I realize that to continue the show that it will take MONEY. I know I don't have all of that in my hands, but is there any way to raise the money for the show, or to put this series on Netflix or on DVD and hope the sales prevail. You could have fans pre-order the DVD at an estimated price - plus donations to the production of the show - and see if you could build enough money to pay for the continuation of the story. None of this can work without collective help, but I am willing to do what is needed of me.
So I ask again, what would need to be done to bring back the show?

Hulu or Netflix needs to step up!! Why can't ABC cancel all of the lame reality shows and have some shows that take creativity with stories. SO FRUSTRATED. This is another reason why very few people watch live tv any more. Too frustrating to get into a show & then have it be cancelled after one season. Seems safer to wait until you know it has at least three seasons & then binge watch it. Too bad that takes away all the anticipation & joy of looking forward to watching a weekly show. I can't believe you cancelled this show. At first I thought it was a mini series to be ended, then I heard a 2nd season would return and was elated and broke out into my Happy Dance. My "reality" family and I sit in front of the TV at 9:00pm every Sunday with popcorn. twizzlers, sno caps and Chocolate Martini's. It has become a social event for us.
PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THIS AND LEAVE US HANGING!!!!!! ( I really like the Chocolate Martini's ) What do I have to do to keep this episode going? Do you want me to contact my friends and co-workers and write the final episodes. or we could get together with Steven King & Steven Spielberg to write the final episodes and Donald Trump could fund the monies needed to produce.

I rarely watch television but this show captured me! I looked forward to each episode as I knew it was going to take me on another unexpected roller coaster ride of complete, and sometimes unthinkable drama. I wish you would reconsider bringing this show back. Your audience needs closure to this incredible story!

Actually, I think it started getting creepy. Claire's a mess; that scene in the dungeon was too much, even if it did move her to accepting Ben as a victim. Willa totally creeped me out, but she certainly made for a good story line. I must admit I loved the duality of her religious fervor completely negated by her evil ways (thank goodness for Confession!). Adam, no doubt, had turned evil, another creepy storyline, don't you think! Would have loved to see this whole thing tied up in a nice, neat bow. The season finale did what I really hate about most series these days; it left way too many loose ends and exponentially opened way too many possibilities for more. I think from a business perspective, ABC did the right thing. Too bad they didn't extend The Family a little longer (even just three more episodes!) to give the viewers some closure! But... I expect though that it'll be picked up by one of the cable/streaming companies. Keep and eye out for that!

Absolutely LOVED this show! So I should've known ABC would cancel it... This show definitely kept me coming back every week! I really hope another broadcaster or even Netflix will pick this up just to prove to ABC that they made a HUGE mistake of canceling a really great show! So disappointed of ABC. I'll admit the show was a little odd at first but it still was enticing enough to keep me coming back every week to watch the next episode. And then it kept getting better until the finale. The finale was one of the best I've seen on television in a while. HUGE disappointment with ABC for canceling this show before it really got the chance to prove itself. My whole family and I absolutely LOVE this show. I hope that ABC reconsiders and brings it back for a second season. This show is really good and I always looked forward to a new episode on Sundays. This show was by far one of the best on television. Keep you on the edge of your seats with every minute. The finale was unbelievable but now we want answers!! This show ended with so many things unanswered. IT MUST come back!!!!! How do you cancel a show when Adam finally gets free and makes the call home! Like everyone else, I am extremely disappointed that The Family was cancelled by ABC. Unfortunately, this is indicative of how the major broadcast networks appeal to the lowest common denominator in the viewing public. Most of the network programs; crime shows, sitcoms, and reality shows, are an insult to people's intelligence. And then you have a few programs such as The Family that require some degree of thinking, and it is cancelled. Granted, some of the topics are dark, but the acting and plot lines are superb.
Hopefully, if ABC refuses to reconsider, it will be picked up by a major cable network such as A&E or FX.

When ABC cancelled "Happy Town" in 2010 without giving the viewer much, if any, closure, I told myself that I would never watch another scripted series on that network. I held true to that until earlier this year when I was intrigued enough by "The Family" to return to ABC. And once again, ABC has pulled the plug on a great show without providing any closure to the viewer. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Shame on you ABC! You've definitely lost this viewer for good this time.

Well it didn't do well its first season but went on to be the biggest rating! Don't leave us fans hanging on to questions such as how does Adam come back to his family; what happened to his older brother; who killed the reporter; what about Ben's real mother, etc???

It had an unusual storyline and plenty of story twists that were unexpected.
This show dared to be different and ABC for some strange and unknown reason canceled it.

i agree with another commenter, this was a great season finale, but this was a horrible series finale. You can't end a story with more cliffhangers than the story began. If ABC doesn't reconsider a second season to wrap up all of the massively tangled loose ends they created, another network or online streaming service certainly should. It's disrespectful to the loyal fan base that ABC spent 12 episodes to create. I feel like I was shot in the hypothetical balls by letting the series end this way.

My husband and I would point at the TV and then look at each and holler "No way!" or "I did not see that coming!" It's a great water cooler show, too! There's been many days that me and my co-workers couldn't wait to talk to each other about what happened on the show!

ABC, Really!! The writers on this show did an amazing job. My jaw literally dropped twice! And then you cancel.. WHY. First Resurrection, then Forever (which was such an amazing show) and then this. Get it together! You put on these great shows, get people hooked and then cancel... But renew the Bachelor.. Really!! Get some new people in the decision making positions please. And Bring Back The Family!! I would love to see Adam take his life back over!!!!

I am in disbelief that this show was cancelled. Absolutely brilliant and it doesn't get past ONE season! This series was very well done, implying just the right amount without being overly obvious. Please let them wrap up the stories somehow! Either one more season or maybe a mini series? If this gets picked up elsewhere I will follow!

I have no idea where to put this, but I want this message to be out there. What can be done to bring back the Family?
I realize that to continue the show that it will take MONEY. I know I don't have all of that in my hands, but is there any way to raise the money for the show, or to put this series on Netflix or on DVD and hope the sales prevail. You could have fans pre-order the DVD at an estimated price - plus donations to the production of the show - and see if you could build enough money to pay for the continuation of the story. None of this can work without collective help, but I am willing to do what is needed of me.
So I ask again, what would need to be done to bring back the show?
Seriously, ABC?! This was a GREAT show. I don't understand what the reasoning was for canceling it. Big mistake. Huge mistake!

Hulu or Netflix needs to step up!! Why can't ABC cancel all of the lame reality shows and have some shows that take creativity with stories. SO FRUSTRATED. I watch very little TV, as there are so few shows that are worthy of my time to watch.The Family was the only show I consistently watched this season. I can't believe it is cancelled, and hope that ABC will reconsider this decision, or otherwise that some other network will consider continuing this quality show,

This is another reason why very few people watch live tv any more. Too frustrating to get into a show & then have it be cancelled after one season. Seems safer to wait until you know it has at least three seasons & then binge watch it. Too bad that takes away all the anticipation & joy of looking forward to watching a weekly show. I can't believe you cancelled this show. At first I thought it was a mini series to be ended, then I heard a 2nd season would return and was elated and broke out into my Happy Dance. My "reality" family and I sit in front of the TV at 9:00pm every Sunday with popcorn. twizzlers, sno caps and Chocolate Martini's. It has become a social event for us.
PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THIS AND LEAVE US HANGING!!!!!! ( I really like the Chocolate Martini's ) What do I have to do to keep this episode going? Do you want me to contact my friends and co-workers and write the final episodes. or we could get together with Steven King & Steven Spielberg to write the final episodes and Donald Trump could fund the monies needed to produce.

I rarely watch television but this show captured me! I looked forward to each episode as I knew it was going to take me on another unexpected roller coaster ride of complete, and sometimes unthinkable drama. I wish you would reconsider bringing this show back. Your audience needs closure to this incredible story!

Actually, I think it started getting creepy. Claire's a mess; that scene in the dungeon was too much, even if it did move her to accepting Ben as a victim. Willa totally creeped me out, but she certainly made for a good story line. I must admit I loved the duality of her religious fervor completely negated by her evil ways (thank goodness for Confession!). Adam, no doubt, had turned evil, another creepy storyline, don't you think! Would have loved to see this whole thing tied up in a nice, neat bow. The season finale did what I really hate about most series these days; it left way too many loose ends and exponentially opened way too many possibilities for more. I think from a business perspective, ABC did the right thing. Too bad they didn't extend The Family a little longer (even just three more episodes!) to give the viewers some closure! But... I expect though that it'll be picked up by one of the cable/streaming companies. Keep and eye out for that!

Absolutely LOVED this show! So I should've known ABC would cancel it... This show definitely kept me coming back every week! I'll admit the show was a little odd at first but it still was enticing enough to keep me coming back every week to watch the next episode. And then it kept getting better until the finale. The finale was one of the best I've seen on television in a while. HUGE disappointment with ABC for canceling this show before it really got the chance to prove itself. Like everyone else, I am extremely disappointed that The Family was cancelled by ABC. Unfortunately, this is indicative of how the major broadcast networks appeal to the lowest common denominator in the viewing public. Most of the network programs; crime shows, sitcoms, and reality shows, are an insult to people's intelligence. And then you have a few programs such as The Family that require some degree of thinking, and it is cancelled. Granted, some of the topics are dark, but the acting and plot lines are superb.
Hopefully, if ABC refuses to reconsider, it will be picked up by a major cable network such as A&E or FX.

I'm actually pissed they cancelled this show. I'm a huge Walking Dead fan and I started the season watching Fear the Walking Dead live and DVRing The Family. Halfway thru it flip flopped. I couldn't wait until 9PM on Sunday to watch The Family. Shame on you ABC !!!!!

When ABC cancelled "Happy Town" in 2010 without giving the viewer much, if any, closure, I told myself that I would never watch another scripted series on that network. I held true to that until earlier this year when I was intrigued enough by "The Family" to return to ABC. And once again, ABC has pulled the plug on a great show without providing any closure to the viewer. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Shame on you ABC! You've definitely lost this viewer for good this time.

Well it didn't do well its first season but went on to be the biggest rating! Cannot believe ABC canceled this show. The show was well written and produced and acted.
It had an unusual storyline and plenty of story twists that were unexpected.
This show dared to be different and ABC for some strange and unknown reason canceled it.

i agree with another commenter, this was a great season finale, but this was a horrible series finale. You can't end a story with more cliffhangers than the story began. If ABC doesn't reconsider a second season to wrap up all of the massively tangled loose ends they created, another network or online streaming service certainly should. It's disrespectful to the loyal fan base that ABC spent 12 episodes to create. I feel like I was shot in the hypothetical balls by letting the series end this way.

My friends and I get SO excited to watch this every Sunday! My manager and I talk about every week and how were so excited for Sunday's! She watches it with her daughter and loves having that bonding time enjoying this show. This finale left me SPEECHLESS! Please please please bring this show back! Somewhere!
