Years of NDP voting. Shame on NDP. Will no longer get my vote.

we should all be expecting more from our leaders.
it doesnt matter that he didnt mean to elbow her, or that the oppostion was stalling a vote.
the fact is when a leader of a country acts like a child and storms across a room and acts on emotion hes not fit to be a leader.
a leader should should never act on emotion.

You bleeding hearts are a ridiculous lot. If a teacher stormed across a full school gym and grabbed your kid by the arm and pulled them across the room, you would be screaming for his head. THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE COUNTRY does it, and it's no big deal. Get a clue you windbags.

    Shame on NDP

What many people seem to be missing is NO PM SHOULD BEHAVE LIKE THIS. The physical severity is NOT the main point here. Justin Trudope is a bloody child and should be thrown out of parliament. Lets just imagine for a second if Stephen Harper had done this shall we.....

All these balking MPs should be given Darwin awards. Talk about the tail wagging the dog! Anything to divert attention from the real issues, waste time and the tax payers' dollars. PM Trudeau does need to learn to curb his impulsive nature, take a few deep breaths and think before he reacts. His decision to cross the floor and try to "assist" the Tory Whip return to his seat was foolish. The Speaker of the House failed in his duty to have decorum maintained in the House. But these other MPs are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Obviously, they have forgotten what it's like to ride on public transit at rush hour, or never ridden on public transit to begin with. This is a non-issue! Please MPs, get on with the business of the day. Recess in the play ground is long over!

Why is everyone missing the fact that this woman also left her seat....NOT to vote, but to impede others from voting. See just how happy she was to be involved in blocking other members from THIER right to vote. She's grinning ear to ear in her role in all this interference before her phony dive, (she should be an actor) then this phony emotional crap about not being able to continue to place her vote....Please, I've been groped worse on public transit. Good dive though, and I'm thinking that since she was trying to deny others from voting because she has a problem with the extremely important content, that she can't handle the process. And as such, she should either apologize to everyone involved, including ALL Canadians, then maybe seriously think about quitting her position. As I would prefer a respectful person representing me, a respectful person that will ALLOW the process to continue, a person that can suck it up and do their JOB...Just WHO left their seats first??? Just to disrupt and block this process, see the instigater's for what they were... Our Prime Minister was protecting another person's RIGHT TO VOTE.....good on him for his actions! And, just where was security when these people left their seats to block others from voting? Again, check out her wide smirks BEFORE her phony dive...She shouldn't have been there....simple. ALL an embarrassment...

Was Trudeau wrong? Yes. Has he apologized? Yes. Twice. The Cons And the NDP are making fools of themselves and should take a time out! (Mulcair should apologize for the out of control red faced faux rage act he put on). The only one not trying to make political points for this is Elizabeth May. She calmly described the incident with none of the hysterics we are hearing from the NDP and the Cons. We need more like her on all sides. Now EVERYONE get back to work and stop behaving badly

"Someone accidentally elbows someone in the chest and the NDP and news stantions blow it up like Trudeau slapped the lady in the face."

Trudeau grabbed and forcefully pulled the CPC House Leader, against his protest. If any boss did that to any worker that would be grounds for assault. Doesnt matter if the NDP was playing games. Trudeau wasnt very smart about dealing with it.

It would be nice if ALL of the House could act like adults and not like one giant schoolyard with the taunting.
Oppositon blocking the hall. PM pulling out his teacher background to get the meeting started. MP REB reacting as if she's never been bumped in a crowded area before. NDP Mulcair reacting as if his team got punched & they won't be able to recover.

I have staff meetings at work that do not have this much melodrama, & it would be embarrassing if they did!

  • Jimmy - 9 years ago

I say shame on the NDP! They were playing a little game so the vote would be held up. This legislation is a big deal for those who want to die with dignity. Tensions were high in the commons. And our prime minister showed great restraint when Tom Mulcair pointed and screamed in his face, for an accidental bump. Now wonder why Mulcair lead them to a defeat! The NDP will not get another vote by me until Mulcair is no longer in the House of Commons.

  • Ann - 9 years ago

Maybe it's time members of parliament started being more respectful of the job they are there to do and get on with it and not play stupid games that lead to this it's not just Trudeaus fault omg and be respectful enough not to make this all about a woman who was truly accidentally caught in the way of someone wanting to straighten out bad behaviour, shouldn't have been necessary

Few tweets of bias. Focus on the elbow not the faking not being able to get around. Cursing. And adding further mayhem so you don't disorganise votes again. It's all nothing. It's never happened before. You cannot do this. But the Dreamboat doesn't have a short fuse or anything. No Sergeant no Speaker. It's the pm's "job". Give me a break

  • betty hebderson - 9 years ago

It's on video. Self explanatory. we were not there. Trudeau , IF he elbowed the Female Member, did it by accident, as he stated he did not know she was behind him. Once again, there is VIDEO

  • Jen - 9 years ago

This is embarrassing. Someone accidentally elbows someone in the chest and the NDP and news stantions blow it up like Trudeau slapped the lady in the face. How about we focus on more important things like the impending extinction of the bee population or global warming? Thanks.
