RIP Harambe. 9 years later there is still no justice. We still remember you!

The people who voted yes are in the right. The parents should receive criminal charges.

I can't believe the lynch mob mentality of people hiding behind computers. This could have happened to anyone....ANYONE! The zoo is also responsible and anyone who was standing by if you want to be technical about it. I personally will be outraged if this woman is charged with anything at all. In any situation, if your security is breached, you don't say oh well...you upgrade security. This should be standard protocol as it seems a 4 year old was able to breach security with little effort. We are such an emotional and entitled society today. If you are going to assign blame because you HAVE to, then you must include EVERYONE involved. Glass houses people.....

I am saddened by the results of this poll which overwhelmingly shows that most people think the parents should be charged. What is even more disturbing is the fact that there are so many who are placing the value on the life of an animal above the value on the life of a human being. If any one of those people fell into the gorilla compound and were dragged around like a dishrag in the same way that little boy was... they themselves would have been the first to cry our and pray for someone to shoot the gorilla.

Based on the information given I believe they should be held accountable for their actions. If my dog got off his lease and hurt someone, I would be held accountable.
