Should shippers & receivers be required to provide safe tuck parking?

    I am an x truck driver. I just retired last Oct. 2015. I drove for almost 30years. When I got a load I would try to get to shipper/receiver as soon as I could. Which meant that sometimes p/u or delivery would have to be the next day. I would try to get to distination so I could shut down and log off. The problem, 90% of them did not have room or would not allow you on lot until 4 hours prior. I believe with all these new laws, that should change. Shipper's and receiver's are as much of the parking problem as anyone else is.

    with e=logs, tight scheduling, and shippers/receivers taking their sweet ass time, ... they should be forced to allow parking. the only other option is companies forcing teams. and if that happens..... HERE'S MY FUCKING KEYS !!!!!

    I also think that shippers that have loads over 35000 lbs should be required to have at least a single axle scale so we don't have to leave with an illegal load and have to come back.

    because my disbatch is inept i run out of drive time alot most cases there is more than enough room to park to do my ten but im told i cant stay on the property now im on the road with no time left searching for a place to sleep and im a setting duck for the dot everybody wants what they need but dont give three shits for the driver who has to get it there
