A waterproof Kindle would be great. I read IN the pool on a lounger, and while I do have a waterproof bag to protect my Kindle (which does a great job), it isn't as seamless as without. Plus it's a pain to open, so I tend to leave the Kindle in the bag for the summer, opening it only to charge, which since I'm an avid reader is fairly frequent!

I would be reluctant to switch to a new non-Kindle format unless it was open sourced and could read the existing collection from Amazon. Hoping to see a color e-ink device from AMZ soon to use primarily with my cookbook collection. As an aside; many of my cookbooks are European or Asian and use metric measurements so Alexa is my converter of choice. Tech convergence is swell!
