    This case demonstrates the fact that the judicial and medical system are a disgrace.

    The truth that they wish to ignore is here;

    The cover up they are perpetrating is a crime in itself.

    Justice has NOT been done.

    The sentence is ridiculous. I don't care what the sentence that applies to the parents is and if it is just or not since they are already being punished by death of their son. That kid is gone and nothing can change it. I am worried about their other 3 children. These two obviously have not learned a lesson and would do the same to their other kids if the kids are in a life-threatening situation. If you ask them "now that you have lost a boy to meningitis are you going to vaccinate the other 3?" they will say NO!! If ,God forbid, one of their other kids gets into a car accident and is bleeding this will be the following scenario :" She was bleeding profusely. Collet went on internet and read that the wounds have to be stitched! So we got out our old trusty sewing machine and started stitching! We lovingly used the best quality thread we had available at home. But the kid died anyways! So we shouldn't be responsible for her death since we tried our best! Parents should not be forced to take their kids to hospitals for any minor scratches!"

    Why even bother with the trial. Length given must be some kind of joke. Also I'm worried about their other children . Really they get to keep them? Might as well give them $$ and encourage them to be foster parents. Sickening.

    The parents have suffered enough. Yes they made a mistake and it's a tragedy, but enough is enough. Too many armchair parents and social workers spouting off. And there are far worse cases of real abuse and neglect to focus on.

    Jak while they are grieving for their child, they also were a contributing factor in his death. When you choose to call your father before you call an ambulance when your child stops breathing, that is more than just a poor decision, its neglect. When you have a friend who is an RN tell you that your child likely has meningitis and you should probably take him into the hospital (or at the very least to a walk in clinic), and you choose to ignore that advice, its neglectful. When your child is so stiff that they can't even be strapped into their car seat, alarm bells should be going off in your head telling you that its something more serious and maybe needs medical attention. I agree that for the first few days of their childs illness, it may have looked like something minor, such as the flu, but that child had been direly ill for more than a few minutes when they finally decided to call an ambulance. That child had been gravely ill for several days beforehand and his parents decided not to provide the care for him that he needed.

    What a horrific BIAS "poll". Utter epic bullsht.

    these people lost their CHILD. They are trying to mourn and have to deal with this crap?! It IS a hard call to know if a child has the flu or somethign more. LOTS of REALLY stupid parents endanger their child by takign them to the ER with the 8 hour wait so get something even more contagious and ruin their child even more so.

    MANY (ALL dr's in this town) refuse to care for unvaxxed kids... chances are HIGH they COULDNT go to a dr!

    AFM.. I thought my kid had a cold (they did) but thank god DH said we gotta go to the ER bc i thought they were tired but turned out they had no oxygen.. had it been up to me they would have died.. that's terrifying.. it's sooo hard to tell.. because it was late and they simply were sleeping.. thank GOD dh said we should go to the ER.. saved their life

    They should have gotten a year both at least. Deter other families who are relying on unqualified people or the net to get their medical information. David's own company gives unqualified advice online, in their retail training seminars, CHFA, and from their help hotline. They are sick anti-medicine nuts!

    The 3 options for this pool leave it far too vague and slanted. There should be an option for the sentence being too harsh.
