Demorats are Progressives / Socialists; it's a failed deal all the way around. When push comes to shove, I will vote Against the one I can't stand , the one that's bad for the country. I know that a lot of Conservatives are sick and tired of the good ol boys club in DC

Out of the choices as worded, I voted for Trump. He's not "my man" but he ain't Hillary and that's what it absolutely comes down to. God help our country if Clinton gets in the WH. Ditto to everything that Frank said.

I agree with Frank's well thought out reasoning. Also the bottom line comment of Astrid Terrazas.

We are faced with the bottom of the barrel but under no circumstances can we allow Hilary to become president and complete the job started by her former boss over seven years ago...fundamentally changing America. That, by the way, is the one and only campaign promise in which he told the truth and kept. And now we see the results. We can only hope that Mr Trump's Vice Presidential choice will reign in the boss and keep the Country from coming apart at the seams...and a strong, sensible, God-centered Congress, and a 9th Supreme Court Judge of the caliber and the beliefs of Anton Scalia.

Sorry for the typo near the end of my third paragraph...it should say "religious freedom", not "religions freedom." Darn that spell check. :)

I have discussed this at some length with two fellow traditionalist/conservative Catholics as well as a very intelligent and conservative pro-life Southern Baptist, who is a retired FBI agent. We all agree that Trump is morally reprehensible, a serial liar, and likely a fraudster who has enriched himself at the expense of middle class and lower income Americans for years. His actual knowledge of facts important for national policy decisions is laughable. His ego makes even Obama and the Clintons pale in comparison.

However, he has not taken bribes from foreign governments while holding a cabinet post, has not compromised national security or committed a Federal felony in the process, and has not sat in meetings for hours setting up political cover while Americans for whom he was responsible were being killed by armed terrorists in a pitched battle at a U.S. Embassy. All of this does not even bring up the shady history of the Clintons and the documented disappearance of several people who incurred their wrath over the years. Nevertheless, despite these "favorable" comparisons to Hillary Clinton, we would not contemplate voting for Trump but for one gigantically important issue: The Supreme Court.

When it comes down to this issue, the reasoning becomes very simple. We know that Hillary Clinton's election is highly likely to result in an overwhelming 7-2 or even 8-1 majority of extreme leftists on the Court, who will finish the task of stripping all semblance of the rule of law from the Federal government. A Clinton court will almost certainly gut the Second Amendment and saddle this nation with abortion on demand, sodomite marriage and "transgender rights" enshrined in what remains of the Constitution, not to mention interpreting away any vestige of true religions freedom from the First Amendment.

While we do not know who Trump would actually appoint, we have some reason to hope he would actually appoint one or more of the people on the list his campaign released a few weeks ago, all of whom would be a vast improvement over anyone HRC would nominate.

Barack Obama had no real experience in anything except radical activism before being elevated to the White House. He is almost every bit as personally flawed as Trump. But the Republic still survives, even if she is seemingly on life support. Clinton would put the final nails in the coffin. Trump might do likewise, but we think there is a chance he would not. It isn't much but it's all we've got.
