Canmore could benefit from a scramble crosswalk if the pedestrians would do so. Lots of pedestrians launch themselves onto crosswalks with not much regard for the signs as we saw with the delayed walk on the signals. This also is not something you can implement only on weekends, you either do it or you don't, it is not productive to change the rules all the time, it confuses people and will confuse locals. Just keep it simple and it will take care of it's self.
