If he was First Nations, like me, we wouldn't be talking about it...He was taking all the risk with this shot.

I don't like the use of bait but it's legal. Most people would freak out if they ever went to a Slaughter House and saw livestock being killed. Some people are so removed from hunting, fishing and farming they have become weak minded, time to teach your kids where food comes from and how it gets to your local market ( meat comes from animals ). If it wasn't on the Evening News, most people wouldn't even know that a bear was killed with a spear. if hunting rules are changed for the Average Joe, I hope they will also include these rules for all Canadians, it's rumoured that a certain group can take animals by any means they want, traditional....

I don't disagree with ethical hunting, what i do disagree with is the use of bait to draw the animal in, if you want to hunt for whatever reason do it on a level playing field

Bow hunting with 'little spears' has gone on for years - critics are ignorant - kill a bear, cruelty. Kill a baby, choice.
