One problem, I find, is the general public are ignorant of how Canada Post works or what Canada Post letter carriers do. In general Letter Carriers don't sit on their asses at all and are on their feet 7-8 hrs a day 5 days a week walking 20 km a day up and down stairs or across terrain that isn't perfectly flat nor easy to walk in +38 C humid weather that can give you heat stroke, or -30 C in cold that can give you frost bite. Another problem are those letter carriers, or inside workers, who don't want to work hard and give Canada Post workers a bad name. With a 50,000 work force (just cupw not including the other union groups within Canada Post) mistakes are made as we are not machines. Nowadays, when a mistake is made letter carriers get an interview with a supervisor and union rep and can get a 4-5 day suspension without pay. Everyone makes mistakes and if we can't get past that in our Capitalist pseudo Democratic society things won't get better. People in general have to grow up, and I don't mean become grown up ignorant selfish idiots.

I had sympathy for the workers, I really did. BUT the last four parcels that I sent were not delivered. Each one was sent priority and every one was "misplaced" at a depot somewhere in Canada and not located for days.
@Letter Carrier - I work 18 hour days and PAY for overnight delivery services. Then I spend hours every day for up to ten working days (in the case of the last delivery) being given the run-around by Canada Post while my goods are "somewhere in the depot, we think", and having to explain to customers why their orders aren't delivered. This dispute has hurt my business, hurt my reputation, and hurt my bank account. It's about time both sides in this dispute stopped having tantrums and got things sorted.

To "Letter Carrier". That's the problem with you people. Noone wants to work anymore - they want to get paid well for doing the least amount possible. Try farming 7 days a week for months on end and get back to me on how rough you got it carry heavy fliers and parcels in the snow.
You get no sympathy from me or anyone else.

As far as I am concerned, they are paid to much for what they do. And as far as delivery driver's...the last parcel that was to be delivered to me never made it to my door. And I had to find it through tracking and have someone drive me to retrieve it...and it get a lame apology for Canada Post... and they get paid for that part of their service...
