Should journals allow authors to list more than two co-first authors?

    Again, maybe this marks a distinction between natural-physical sciences and social sciences. In the latter, in my fields, it is quite common to indicate that both/all authors contributed equally, when that's the case. And when it is not so indicated, authors are usually listed in last-name alphabetical order to indicate equal contribution.
