Transportation is parents responsibility...... Lunch supervision parents responsibility ...... Education school board responsibility!!! They are teachers.....not a daycare service!

Transportation to and from the school should absolutely be the parents responsibility. Fees for lunchtime supervision are ridiculous; Those should be the school district and the provinces responsibility.

As a senior with no kids and agree that public education like health must be available however I see the privatization of both are leading to a breakdown. Any opt outs should pay full fees -no taxes or funding to any religious or private or non profit schools
Let's get public eduction back on track. Alberta needs to change funding more like Ontario does.
BC school boards currently under the Christie Clark government are also decimating public education in favor of privatization. Her sad legacy.

We are already paying to much tax. Lots of Albertans have lost their jobs in recession!

FYI it is not just people with children in the system who pay school taxes. We as seniors who have never had a child in the Ab school system pay a good chunk of money for education every yr. The amount is set by the provincial govt.
