my truck is set at 72 mph. most states the speed limit is 70, it would be a mess if all trucks are limited to 65 mph. that would create a hazard on the the already crowded interstates that i travel especially intestate 81

I could name a good bit of reasons why it's not a good ideal to do this but doing my 10 hour break, but for one the cars always over the speed limit and in a hurry, with AlL trucks even more slower makes it more frustrating for cars to get out from behind trucks ,they will be taking bigger chances to get out from behind trucks more than they already do which will end up a greater chance of accidents, I see daily already a lot of close calls. And as for climbing hills ect . It's better for fuel and the rest of traffic to get as far up before losing all our speed, better for rest of traffic the further we can get up the hill before slowing to almost crawling and better for fuel because can be halfway up before it drops to really low speed and has to start using more fuel to start pulling harder to the heavy weight

The problem is we have people in Washington that have no experience in running a business...the prices of trucks are at 150k plus and the price of freight is the same as it was in the 80s and 90s no we have to pay full price but only get to use 30 to 40% of the engine so decrease the price of the truck by that percentage and increase the freight that same percentage....this is wrong this America home of the free and the brave ...turn the phones off that people are using while driving

Cars and trucks should both run the same speed. One faster than the other causes backups, roadrage, and wrecks. Save a life with everyone running at the same speed.

I dont understand why they mess that much with trucker when we are the one that put the goodies in their house and all is moved by a truckers. Less speed, less hr to drive by elogs something else?? I got 3 yrs otr and trust me i see more accidents with cars than truckers instead been making rules for truckers make rules for that bunch of idiots on the road with a license that leave the brain in the house before hit the road. When you see a trucker on the rd WE ARE WORKING no hangin out so dont interrupt us like you dont want us to go to your job to interrupt you. Elogs and governos is not a guarantee for safe trucker is for sure more wrecks trying to be ontime because the RULES!!!

I can not see how it would be safer by putting all trucks at one set speed all it will do is cause more wrecks and less drivers on the road because if the wrecks. Look at Texas they had split speed limits and number of wrecks tripled then set speed sane and less wrexks . u an totally against it the truck driving school's need to train better and companies need to train the new drivers better than what is being done I meeb a month is not long enough for training for a new drivers at all .
