Chris didn't ask Hillary if she would accept the election results which had the effect of Chris adding his own opinion that Trump would lose Chris' opinion in a debate is inappropriate. He let Hillary speak longer on questions which made Trump have to "claim" his time to get the same which created an unfair perception.
Chris didn't challenge the condescending arrogance of Hillary in her responses but focused in on that with Trump with direct questions pertaining to his arrogance.
Chris was so much better than prior debate commentators that he was in a class of his own but could be better. Trump takes insults re; his appearance, his wife, his honest answer to support of candidates, elections result acceptance, immigration, terrorism, abortion......but when he dishes it back there is outrage. But not equal outrage when other candidate do not honor their politically correct answer. When is the Media going to have the courage to call it like it really is? Chris came close. Trust of News is not coming back for a long time if ever, hello internet.

Not to be ugly, but he let Hillary take total control of debate even when he asked about if Donald was going to accept election. He let her way off the hook. He let her control debate so she could use her comments to trigger Trumps even nasty woman comment. Shame on you Wallace you know darn well you messed up and look weak to me in that way now.

  • frank - 7 years ago

I think Wallace did a terrible job, because he let Hilary Clinton dominate the whole debate. And she was rude, as usual, because when he actually did ask her to stop talking, she kept on talking, & talking! And he jumped on Donald Trump if he went over, even a little. If you want criminals & drugs to keep coming in from Mexico, & terrorist to keep coming in & killing our innocent citizens, & if you want to hand your weapons over to Hilary, by all means, go vote for her. But, the rest of us with "good common sense" are going to vote for a closed border, vetting of immigrants, & keeping our right to defend, & protect ourselves, & "our children," so we will vote for Donald Trump! And, if you want to hold the population down, thru abortion, the killing of "innocent children, " vote for Hillary, who says she "loves children." Apparently not "our children,"only "refugee children."

I felt he didn't have a good handle on it through the debate

  • Diana - 7 years ago

I felt that Chris Wallace "favored" Hilary Clinton over Donald Trump. He allowed her to go on & on about how good her "foundation" is, that she & her husband are getting "wealthy" off of, & giving "minimal" amounts to really help people. And, he didn't stop her when he should have. I also noticed that he looked right at her, but, would not look at Donald Trump, hmm. After all, he is a "democrat," so what do we expect? It would be refreshing to have a moderator who truly would be "fair." He let Hillary run right over him. Trump was forced to interrupt her to get a word in. Thanks again for unfair moderating.

  • Linda Winn - 7 years ago

Why didn't he ask Hillary if she would accept the results if Trump wins? That would be fair and balanced.

  • Curtis Scrutchin - 7 years ago

i thought he showed agreat bias in favor Trump. Chris allowed Trump to talk over Clinton repeatedly.

  • James - 7 years ago

Wallace has a simple job, make sure both candidates answer his questions. He did a great job with Trump. However, he let Hillary evade far too many questions, especially when she'd trail off the subject entirely.

  • Paula - 7 years ago

Chris Wallace was a breath of fresh. Thank you, Chris!

  • Jean - 7 years ago

Chris Wallace should be commended for his paricapation to moderate so eloquent, fair, and so respectful. He is awesome! He is first moderator that has controlled a debate to allow both candidates fair response time. Even though Trump still manages to interrupt and inappropriately comment. He was non bias, fair, balanced and so eloquent well respected Gentleman. We need more Chris Wallace moderators. Best debate moderatoated.

  • dave - 7 years ago

Wallace did a great job with two wingnuts. Hillary already has this wrapped up, but it was nice to see Wallace keep the candidates on topic (as much as possible anyway). Of the three people involved in the debate, Wallace would be the best president. Joking....sort of.

  • Dinesh Parikh - 7 years ago

Chrish Wallace did great job.Keep both of them in control . Donald did his best but he acted as Donald Trumph the businessman not Presidential candidate.Smart businessman man with arrogance behavior always believe he is right that attitude putting him down.
He killed himself with his own murder mouth.
Indeed l will not give my vote to Hillary .
But l strogly opposes danger Donald.Surprise Americans lost their mind by supporting this terrible and horrible man who is not even respect his own party. Its huge shame for America that 2016 election looks like more as illustration , more pathetic then presidential.
Evangelist and religious leaders act under influence of money not with moral and ethical
Standards.Candidate openly talk shamelessly and disrespect woman at lowest level even though they supporting crazy man.2016 US president election is nothing but mockery of
    American value and high standards.

I respect Chris Wallace and thought he did a better job at being fair than previous moderators. However, I did notice that at times he let Hillary go on over her time. Also, when she avoided answering certain questions, such as "pay to play", he did not stop her, or press her to answer the question. Instead, he let her ramble on, just repeating all her points on how great the foundation is. He seemed to hold Trump more accountable to answer accusations toward him, but didn't do the same as often to Clinton. I''m sure if anyone counted the minutes, Clinton talked more. I was hoping that someone would ask Clinton why, if she is so upset about Russia hacking emails, why was she so negligent in using a private server, where she left top secret information so vulnerable to hacking, and put lives at risk. Also, wanted someone to ask her how she seems to have such a great memory when it comes to her long service record, and everything Trump has said and done, that her answers to questions asked by congress and the FBI, her answers were so often "I don't remember". Why does that never come up?

  • Carolyn - 7 years ago

Great job by moderator! I'm still hoping Hillary will explain what happened with the Benggazi attack. But the questions were fair and tough questions given to both candidates equally. It was obvious that Hillary had a more difficult with the unfavorable questions directed at her. She either avoided them or changed the subject. Trump just isn't a politician. I think they both tell many lies but Hillary has a long history of deceitful behavior. Can't believe these are the best two choices in America. Our media needs to wake up and be honest. Thanks Chris Wallace for being what I grew up believing..that what a journalist reported is the truth.

I watched the debates and listened to some of the post-debate chatter. I was disappointed in Chris Wallace for not pressing Clinton to answer the question "Will you support the winner of the election". She never answered that question. He allowed her to go on with her usual ad nausea, but cut off Trump when he tried to respond. In her commercials and again tonight, she prided herself for always being an advocate for children. Really? But she allows them to be murdered and have no opportunity to fulfill their God-given potential, all in the name of women's rights. With all the support of a women's choice to health-care decisions, no rights are accorded the life within her womb. She strongly support Planned Parenthood, whose biggest industry is killing babies and harvesting their organs for profit. I strongly oppose her staunch pledge to nominate Supreme Court Justices who choose which people have the right to force all taxpayers to pay for this horrendous crime. No mention of freedom of religion and the way this twisted agenda forces "the irredeemables" to agree to their mentality or get lost. I have a very strong case of "CLINTOPHOBIA"!!

You like it or not a sexual predator and enabler will live in our White House.
    Good luck USA

I am so saddened to see the last hope for fair and balanced news slide down the slippery slope of the elitist, politically correct spin masters. In the quest to have the highest ratings and the most viewers, you won the race and remained on the front line for a long time. However, it has become obvious to many of your faithful viewers that things have changed recently. Therefore, I can no longer bear to listen, watch or believe anything on your show. It is for entertainment only and I had become accustomed to more from your people. I am so sorry to see you go in this manner.

  • R New - 7 years ago

Wallace sided against Trump I thought this would be a fair debate, so sad for our nation when crimnails like crooked hrc can run for our leader.

  • Bill - 7 years ago

Very fair and controlled debate staying on subject with rebuttals.....nice job.. Great journalism by Chris..sadly ABC news put their obvious biased spin afterwards......

  • Constance McFarland - 7 years ago

For the first time in the last twenty-five years, I witnessed a debate that was moderated fairly. A real journalist at last! Bravo Chris Wallace!

  • DJ - 7 years ago

    Final speaking times (Per politico)

    Clinton: 40:49

    Trump: 34:48

    Wallace: 15:34

  • Rock - 7 years ago

Wallace cuts off Trump but let's Clinton talk on and on. She didn't answer Wallace's question about the Clinton Foundation. She danced around it like everything else. Please address all the wrongful/unlawful things she has done or agreed to over the years. What ever she says Trump does she, Bill and her special friends does more and a lot worse. She surely didn't care what her husband, Bill did to all the women he had sex with before and as president. What a disgrace & disqusting action for him to perform and Hillary to back him and blame it on all those women, especially Monica Lowenski. Please show any proof that illegals have and are paying federal income tax? That is the most ridiculous and false statement I've ever heard. The only person she is for is herself. What about all the furniture the Clinton tons took from the Whitehouse? They are despicable!

  • Krisa walls - 7 years ago

FOX SHOULD BE ASHAMED...MEGAN KELLY IS SO AGAINST TRUMP AND SO UNFAIR...ACTUALLY YOUR WHOLE STATION HAS GONE DOWN HILL...FOCUSING ON THE GARBAGE OF BOTH CANDIDATES. MEGAN KELLY HAS TO GO...SHE IS TO COCKY AND TOO PRO HILLARY FOR THE STANDARDS OF FOX...DISAPPOINTED IN ALL OF YOU.

  • Jane - 7 years ago

Questions from Chris were good but he constantly allowed Hillary to go on and on and always quickly cut off Trump. Never pressed Hillary to answer questions and allowed her to constantly pivot. When time given to each candidate is tallied, It will show Hillary had more time

  • April - 7 years ago

Clearly Hillary is a liar! And if America doesn't see this by now, we are in trouble. Trump is NOT a politician, BUT he is the only one who can turn this country around!! CHECK YOUR FACTS PEOPLE!!!

  • David p vandale - 7 years ago

Donald has to be the next President or America and most of the civilized world is doomed
Hillary Clinton has to be brought to task and be imprisoned

  • John - 7 years ago

Wake up America. We have a great country. Trump is just Awful. Please say good night Donald! Chris Wallace did ok , however appeared to let the Donald babble on and on

  • Mer - 7 years ago

How dare Wallace not push for ANY answer regarding Bill Clinton from Hillary! He torally let her off
    The hook!

  • Paul Arnold - 7 years ago

Chris did a better job then I thought. The rest of fox except for Hannity and fox and friends are all Bush supporters and want Trump to lose. Meagan as always playing the women's victim role.

  • Judy - 7 years ago

Wallace did a very god job. As usual Tump was no match for Hillary. He comes across as a bully.

  • Alexis - 7 years ago

I don't pretend to have Chris Wallace's show on Fox News. But I do know that left-leaning Jon Stewart, a person whom I revere, respects Chris Wallace immensely. And tonight, I got to see why.

Wallace showed both restraint and push-back when necessary, letting the candidates either build themselves up or dig themselves a hole if that was the direction their answers took. He was precise and did his best to keep the candidates on track. I don't know that I will watch his program, but I have definitely gained respect for him as a journalist.

  • Denise prince - 7 years ago

Chris Wallace did very well, but Megyn Kelley was awful and very irritating! Please get rid of her or I will only watch Hannity on Fox News!

  • Pubalanramiah@hotmail.com - 7 years ago

I think he did great , unbiased, very interesting, intelligent questions, very balanced unbiased questions between both candidates. This is the only debate out of the 3 that can be called a debate!

  • Jeanne McMillan - 7 years ago

It was refreshing to watch an unbiased moderator. Unfortunately, the media failed to be unbiased in the coverage of the candidates after the debate. All the praise and cameras were on Clinton and the media only talked about Trump in a negative light. This is how the media tries to sway voters to a particular candidate. It really bothered me that the media kept saying that Trump said he would NOT accept the outcome of the election, when, in fact, he did not say he wouldn't. He said he would see later. Why doesn't the media bring up any negatives about Clinton? I find it hard to believe that these are the best candidates America has to offer, but the coverage needs to be fair. The media should be unbiased and bring up the positives and negatives of EACH candidate allowing voters to make informed decisions instead of trying to persuade people to vote for Clinton. It is just TOO obvious and very sad.

  • Tina - 7 years ago

I thought he was fair and relatively unbiased. He took both candidates to task on the issues. I was expecting a more bias. Nice job.

  • Susan - 7 years ago

Donald Trump is a mental midget! If he cannot answer or does not want to answer the question, he makes up things or blames everyone else. What really is pathetic, is how he denies various statements, when the public saw the news clips on TV. God Bless America!

  • ANNETTE BOWLES - 7 years ago

This election has been rigged between the media, the voter fraud by Clinton so I would say tge same . BTW Obama also said if Trump wins he would not give over the power.

  • Kathleen Carroll - 7 years ago

Terrific job, Mr. Wallace! You have managed to do what none of your colleagues could! Very impressive.

  • Susan - 7 years ago

Chris Wallace brought respect back to journalism tonight. Highest respect to him!
    Anderson Cooper-the worst!

  • Kyle - 7 years ago

He needed to be more forceful. Trump and Clinton walked all over him. Clinton won, though Trump had a moment or two

  • Sue - 7 years ago

    Very biased for Clinton
Then I read that he had previously stated the media was too easy on Trump!
    Where has he been?
    He accused trump of lying
Acted like Hillary tells the truth!

  • Bob miller - 7 years ago

Pretty good job but why not or es

  • beth - 7 years ago

I was unsure Mr Wallace Fox News experience would emit some bias. However he did a good job with questions, pushing back at the candidates and the audience. Well done.

  • Jacklyn - 7 years ago

Finally a moderator who was equally tough on both candidates without any lean to the right or the left.

  • Richard Howe - 7 years ago

At least he displayed a balanced level of toughness to both candidates. So unlike the others

  • Jodi - 7 years ago

I expected Chris to. Be better- he didn't get an answer to a question and didn't pursue it. Hilary pivoted on the Foundatuon question and WHY wasn't there more questions on all her lies? I thought this station is far and balanced? Very sad for our nation.

  • Judy - 7 years ago

Best debate so far! Trump easily won. Hillary was off.
