cash up front is the better option for numerous reason. TAX??????? investment potential????????? and not to worry about dying and losing the balance.

At 40 years old, I would still take the 1000 a day because I feel if I get the whole sum, I would make a few terrible choices with the money, as well as the line up of people with their hand out would be a lot longer than if they had to wait 6 months to get 150G from me.

The real story that should be written about by the reporters is how this will be the first canadian lottery where winner pays a tax on winnings. The annuity option makes the winner pay taxes which is unfair. Not sure why the lottery bosses don't have a division that pays the winner yearly instead of outsourcing payments to a "third pary".

Take the lumsum and spend live cash offset expenses start your own busin5+ess which would have the potential to turn over more than a thousand dollars per day.. You can put a percentage in fix deposit, buy _tocks and shares with a percentage and also simply buy and sell used cars with a percentage. Take some to Jamaica and have dialogue with the primeminster with the view of establishing a business which will create jobs and generate more than one thousand dollar daily. Crest your own website and purchase airline tickets cheap and offer them for sale put your man up on then sell them back and make more than the thousand dollars daily. Especially now it is thanks giving and people travelling allover the world. So many things that canbe done ir yo fer te lumsum ..you can consult me for financial advise when you are successful. Wishing the punters luck. Jamaicans would appreciate if the game would be sold here!!

I am 51 so I would choose the lump sum payment. If someone was only 18 to 25 then for sure the $1,000 a day for life. You're right about age being a big part of that decision.
