I think when care is taken by the judges to choose and nurture their singers, and when the public has taken an interest and has favorites, it is not enjoyable to watch a fast-paced butcher job. Several of my favorites were quickly- cut by a fraction of the fan base. In addition, the sound mix seemed off, with some singers being overwhelmed by the accompaniments or having to shout. Not really enjoyable in several cases.
