I've been in a 10 year relationship with a man 28 years my senior. I am in my mid 50's and he's in his early 80's and we are compatible in all ways and have been since the beginning. His energy level and activity level rivals mine and he's the more physically inclined partner in the relationship, playing golf several times weekly and STILL WORKING as an actor and writer. So I know we are the anomaly, but don't just pass someone up because of their age. You might be walking away from the most fulfilling relationship of your life! - oh, and we are sexual too and very compatible and happy!!
It seems to me, from 2 years of online dating, that quality men my age (almost 58) are dating much younger women or are just interested in "hooking up," which isn't what I need in my life. I'm starting to resign myself to the fact that I may never meet a nice man with more mid-western type values here in CA. I see a lot of artificiality in what men post. Not saying women aren't the same but...On the flip side, the rest seem to only be interested in texting and talking on the phone, never wanting to meet - or they look and act 20 years older than their photos and can't do any of the things they say they can in their profiles.
