Though I can understand most of the results, I can't understand why Load & St. Anger are higher ranked than Death Magnetic and Hard Wired.
[(this is all based on opinions, and with that, I'm willing to bet that if more of the readers were of a newer generation, the results wouldn't be so 80s Thrash. lol (not that there's anything wrong with 80s Thrash...I loved it...just sayin...don't let the old "over-produced" stigma make your vote.)]
My personal list:
(1) Death Magnetic (2008)
(2) Metallica [Black] (1991)
(3) Ride The Lightning (1984)
(4) Master Of Puppets (1986)
(5) Hardwired... To Self-Destruct (2016)
(6) Load (1996)
(7) Reload (1997)
(8) Kill 'Em All (1983)
(9) ...And Justice For All (1988)
(10) St. Anger (2003)
(a) Kill 'Em All's production kept me from being able to listen to it. But, I LOVE those songs live!
(b) I only like a few songs from Justice, and the rest of it was horrible to me.
(c) I heard St. Anger re-recorded by a tribute on Youtube...better drum tones. It was actually really good.
(d) I put Load & Reload where they are because they were actually decent albums...for rock, that is. They got flack because they weren't metal and the original fans were bitter. lol...only reason.
(e) I put Hardwired in the middle, for now, because I've only heard a few of the songs....once I hear it all...and give it a few spins to let it soak in...it will probably move up or down the list.
I voted for "Master of Puppets." It's the songwriting. It's simply the bands most consistently best collection of songs.

I chose Kill Em All because it's the one that's remained with me since I first heard it. The first Metallica song I heard was the video for One. I don't care much for Load or Reload but to be fair I have not have them enough listens. I liked St. Anger. I liked Death Magnetic more. I am really liking Hatdwired. I am happy.
