Faux tree, but tons of fresh garland. Your house will smell of pine much more than even just a tree alone.

One faux from Frontgate which looks great each year, and one real tree for the upstairs tv room where we enjoy the lovely aroma of Christmas. They are decorated to coordinate with the rooms they grace. Love this time of the year. Whatever you do, Tina, it will be special. Happy Holidays.

Keep getting a real tree. I agree with what you say about getting it by yourself but I love the real thing. Besides I can't think about the dust on a faux one!!!

We loved having real Fraser fir trees. But it is much easier to decorate a faux tree with heavy ornaments.
You will love putting a favorite ornament in place and having it stay there!

We bought a tree from Front Gate ten years ago and three years ago we decided we wanted a shorter tree so I gave my tall tree to my sister and I ordered another tree from Front Gate that is about 8 feet tall and my sister LOVES the taller one so everyone is happy. These trees are expensive but so worth it, they last, look good, and the lights are perfection. I put it up right after Thanksgiving and leave it up until right after Christmas; we enjoy it the whole month of December, and there's no shedding, Yaay!

We bought a Frontgate tree on wheels last Christmas. It is so convenient, but still takes 2 people to set up. We do miss the smell of a real tree, but there are so many wonderful Christmas candles now that smell like evergreens, so that helps. It is so lovely that the lights are already on the tree!!

    Tina,
We were a 35 year real tree family. 2 Christmases ago, I had had it with the trouble of lights and the inevitable string that darkened Christmas week. I went on a hunt for the most realistic tree. Balsam Hill had a post season sale and I bit the bullet. It was wonderful to have lights work immediately. I feel sure Frontgate also might have lovely ones and there may be a discount yet happening. Like you, I grieved the loss of scent from natural trees. I bought some fir scents that hung inside the trees. It worked well - subtle and not
Perfumey. There are also lovely diffusers for more coverage. Best of luck and thank you for assuring us readers that it is ok to do the holidays as best as we can! Blessings!

We are only allowed faux tree in our high rise home. However we get cuttings from real trees (free where trees are sold) to use in arrangements so we have that yummy Christmas smell.

I never thought I would get a faux tree! However, my husband talked me into it with the promise that he would buy a real tree any year I wanted one. Fifteen years later, I never asked for a real one again!! I like the ease of putting it up whenever I want, and the cleanup is less messy. i know your tree will be stunning, whether it is real or faux!

We purchased our faux tree from Frontgate and absolutely love it. We bought it along with the stand that has wheels. We "wheel" it in from storage, unzip and fluff it a bit. Also, BBB (Bed Bath and Beyond) sell Tree Scents that you can hang on the tree that no one sees and they smell like a tree.

While I completely understand the convenience of a faux tree, for me, it's like a hardwood floor.....There are now some laminate floors that literally look so like real wood, you would never know the difference....they are also practically indestructible.....so why not get those instead? Because every time I looked at or walked on them, I would KNOW they were fake, and it would bother me.....Real all the way is my vote!

You may look in NY in the flower district for a faux tree. The price could be less. I bought mine in 1990 at our flower row and love it still. Of course back then they weren't pre-lite and it is more open than between the branches than Frontgate's so I can layer in more ornaments.

Bought a faux from Frontgate ... love it. So much easier than live. Plus, buy candles if you like the tree smell.

We bought after Christmas and got a good value.
