Criminal negligence did case at last minute added lawyer i got off on technicality however in Liability case I was vindicated evidence recently showes up brakes and air tank leakage. Liability phase suit dropped and employer stuck.

The better you know your regulations the better you chances be sure to document in your log book equipment check. Most of my tickets in California Weight Scales where its a crime to be a trucker. log book violations log your over provided its under 2 hours. Judge will dismiss it for good cause detention traffick reasonable - I never got charged with speeding other than my accident noted but I got off...

A lot of times if you have good driving record state troopers will let you go. Be nice ....

I have fought many tickets, usually without the help of an attorney and representing a driver of mine. Too many times a driver gets a bogus ticket and just pleads guilty and moves on. Take the time to write a plea of not guilty and if applicable write why the ticket is wrong or request a pre-trial meeting with the prosecutor. Most pre-trial meetings are same date as trial and you can usually get the ticket dismissed or at least reduced. For speeding tickets, depending on how much over, a 15 and over can and will be reduced, unless you have a track record of speeding. I have had tickets thrown out for wrong citation or wrong information. Be polite when you are dealing with the leo, sometimes they just may make a mistake to give you an out. If you treat them with disrespect they will give the harshest ticket they can and will make sure everything is correct to make it impossible to fight the ticket.

Hell yes I fought my ticket!!!!

I was in Culver City Ca. in 2002 delivering my first load for Graebel Van Lines. I stopped at Tito's Taco's, a land mark for their great Mexican fastfood. I turned right onto the next street to get to the on ramp for I 405N. There ahead of me was a mobile crane with its mast left off kilter. There was room to get by even if this was only a 2 lane street. However there was a motorcycle cop by the name of Officer Gold who was self encharged with enforcing tiny El Segundo truck laws.

Officer Gold stopped me for 20 minutes stopping all traffic. He then told me to pull around the corner where I waited another hour. He wrote citation for over weight on the city's streets.

I court date came up and I pled not guilty. I came back a month later for the trial where the judge found me guilty. I immediately appealed his decision of court after posting , of course, the $2200 bail/ fine amount.

Another month later I arrived to the appeal in this same judges court that HE HAD WRITTEN MY APPEAL FOR ME! BS!!! So I respectfully asked the judge for his version of the appeal and I redid the whole as an appeal should have been done. He reluctantly accepted my paperwork and it was sent to the appellate court. The Appellate court asked him questions which he failed to answer. WE finally tracked him down to Santa Monica Court. There he was required to answer the questions of the 3 member appellate court. He stated to me the "Us judges just hate when we have to respond to appeals
