Thank you for your article. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night !!
I retired from Publix mid December 1984, after spending 10 years with them. Huge changes were coming about... No more Christmas Parties, opening on Sunday's and such.
I learned how to work hard, work long hours, sometimes 18 hours a day, and it gave me a strong work ethic.
Little of the old Publix remains...no mandatory carryout of groceries, management by computer and such.
BUT, they are still pretty nice folks to deal with and continue to have clean stores! (just glad I'm not scrubbing them on a Saturday night like them old days!)
We have many non Christian friends. Happy holidays is best for us.
I work for Publix It's not just the Christmas it's disappearing If you look at all their stores The founder George Jenkins Is missing also Except for one picture I think there's definitely more to the whole story
