What about people who regularly use a handheld light source that isn't the Ice Light, and don't want to endorse the product?
For that matter, what about the people (I suspect, the majority) who like me, may use on-camera flash, or wide aperture/high ISO as seems appropriate to the circumstances?
Hi Amateur Photographer, as much as I like your magazine and looking at your website, if you insist on keep putting pop up adverts on your website which impact on my viewing pleasure and lock up my computer with script overload locking then I will have to interpret this as an abuse of privilege on your part. My reaction here is to bring this to your attention in the same manner that you are pushing your adverts at the public in general which is not acceptable. Please refrain from using this type of advertising or withdraw my email address from your system, as a long time subscriber and contributor to your magazine I would be sorry to withdraw my subscription, I hope other subscribers feel the same as myself and you make the necessary changes to your advertising policies.
