I think it is a great show I think Lucy Liu. And johnny miller work great together I love the whole cast Aidan Quinn , Jon Michael hill the show doesn't seem to center around one character I think they all share the lime light

Have watched every episode and and am also watching the re runs. Never fails to please, plots are involved, intriguing and always solved in the unique Sherlock style. You don't want the episode to end. Brilliant writing, excellent cast give it a try and become hooked like the rest of us.

A very good show. I do not like when it is moved by football games but I still watch it on the CBS sight to keep up.

Please don't cancel my favorite show! I have DVDs of all episodes available and watch on vacations. I read Shelock Holmes. I love the actors and the twists and turns of each episode. It is what I look forward to watching to see which supporting characters will be back on the show. The writers do a great job of not making it predictable like many other ongoing series.
It wiould also be nice to not miss episodes due to being scheduled after sporting events.

Please don't cut Elementary !! It's my favorite show. I hate it when sports programs last so long cutting into Elementary's time slot.
Debby - 7 years ago
I offer 3 reasons to keep the show indefinitely:
* The core of the Sherlock Holmes character has successfully been transported to a new time and place without any loss in the core essence of the story. Not only is SH's fine-tuned observation and reasoning featured, but I am confident that the viewing public is being instructed on how to observe and reason that can translate into everyday life. As a former classroom teacher, I see the value to students and adults.
* The acting is outstanding as other commenters have already stated.
* In a time when TV shows and movies often have dark portrayals of society and human beings with little hope for improvement, "Elementary" addresses the darkness of society and human nature with Watson's unfailing compassion and hope, Sherlock's sincere struggle to stay clean, and the delicate balance among the characters to encourage and admonish each other throughout everyday life.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my comments. Please take pubic input into consideration when renewing TV programs.

Like all the others here I say, 'PLEASE-PLEASE' don't cancel the only detective show I watch!!! It always bothers me when the network moves a show all over the place then cancels it because of bad numbers!! This is a show that I will and have hunted for. Why you'd put a show of this caliber on sports night is beyond me!! How can people watch it if it's bumped all the time? We diehard fans look for it and wait on it. Please don't cancel this fantastic show, give it the respect it deserves and get it off Sunday night right after a ballgame or not shown due to an awards show!! Put 'The Big Bang Theory' on Sunday night and see what happens!
This is, without doubt, the best Police Procedural Drama on television. Just the mere fact that the network is considering cutting this show, over others they have already renewed, is another tale of looking solely at the numbers and not the huge potential for growth in the storyline. I wouldn't disagree that occasionally this show lacks a true storyline on a week-to-week basis, however it has in the past, and allows for the producers to reincorporate old storylines, or bring one into the mix.
It is arguably one of the most intriguing shows, which brings me back every week, with characters that possess phenomenal talent. Jonny Lee Miller @jonnyjlm is one of the most dynamic actors of his time. Since his breakout performance in #Trainspotting I have been enthralled by his work as an actor and would never have thought of him in this role, but nobody could replace his quick witted repartee. He is one of those people I find so inspiring that I would love to meet and have a chat with. Everybody has a list of famous people you would like to meet, and he is definitely one of mine. And as far as Lucy Liu @LucyLiu her acting career speaks for itself. She is simply a brilliant actress and to have her on the network's roster is one decision they have made right in casting.
The following is a list of CBS television shows, and May Sweeps results, and their respective fate, as taken from TVLime.com. Some of these shows which show already have Been Renewed, compared to Elementary, for instance, always makes me feel like the decisions are made based simply on "today's poll numbers and current viewership." They don't ever appear to make decisions based on future potential of a series, just what's hot at the moment. It feels a lot like the old business model of the Record Business, where decisions were made haphazardly, and with much regret.

Looking at this list, it appears as though Some Series jus won't capture the audience they are looking for after 5 excellent seasons, such as with Elementary. The decision to Renew Zoo, Kevin Can Wait, Superior Donuts, Mom, Man With a Plan, The Good Fight and Life in Pieces, yet have doubts about not only Elementary, but also a great new series, Ransom, has me wondering who makes these decisions and what rational is used, apart from the "Numbers."
I personally enjoy CBS' lime-up, however, once a show is Cancelled, it's unlikely to make it back to "The Big Screen", and if you decide NOT to Renew Elememtary, please just think about your long-term viewership when making your decisions CBS @CBS. If you Cancel Elementary today, and later Cancel Superior Donu

Though I watch the show at a time of my choosing, it remains the ONLY show that I watch. Needless to say, I want it to continue. Thank you.

Please renew the show. Love the characters. The writers are phenomenal with unpredictable endings. Only problem is the Tv stations screwing up the time it is aired because of sports shows. They have to talk an extra half hour re a sports event we just watched that was analyzed ad nauseam by sportscasters at the time. This throws the air time off for Elementary. They should move it back to the night it was previously on and leave it alone!

Great show: well-written, intelligent, thought-provoking, terrific stars, different from so many other detective shows, delightfully quirky, just plain good! Please leave at least some shows on air for people who are discerning!!!!
Ratings would be significantly higher if it weren't constantly pushed back due to sports runovers. Move the show! Please keep it on the air. It's a jewel!!!

CBS-This is the best show on television and if you dump it you are all idiots! The acting, writing, backdrop, etc is all top notch. If someone has never seen it, they can fall in love the first time they watch it without having to binge watch or get lost due to old and tired storylines that go on and on (although they should binge watch because every episode is captivating). The Sunday timeslot, with the frequent bumps/skipping due to sports and whatever specials, is horrible. Yet, we still watch it, tracking it down if we have to. I can't think of any other show worth the hassles we go through just to watch it. Move it to any other night, PLEASE. You have a hit show with ratings potential equal to or higher than, the likes of Seinfeld and Friends. Learn how to maximize its potential.

Elemantary is the best thing to happen to CBS. Top notch writing and acting makes this our all time favorite show. Please keep it going. This is a show that will be long lived if allowed.

Only show I watch live! So many stories left to tell. Truly believe the numbers would be different if it played on time or on a different night. The networks running it into the ground. No advertising & feel like they don't care if it airs or not. So frustrating

Deborah - 7 years ago
This is my favorite show on television! Great writing, great acting. A show you actually have to pay attention to, rather than halfway watching doing something else at the same time. I hate the Sunday timeslot. Whenever CBS wants to get rid of a show, they stick it on Sunday night after football. I record it sometimes using an hour extra time to get it all. Please don't cancel the best show on tv!!!!

Learn something new on every episode. I truly look forward to Elementary. I DVR, and it's the first Sunday show I watch. Please keep it on my TV.

Elementary has consistently been one of the smartest & best written shows on tv. Cast is top notch, especially Sherlock, Watson & Capt Gregson characters. Annoyingly, Sunday time slot's football, music & movie awards shows push the show later & later or out completely many times during the season. This unfairly hurts the shows ratings. Diehard fans like my family appreciate a cleaver who-done-it and love the fact that Sherlock always baffles us This show is a true jewel & the network would be foolish to let it go
Wendy - 7 years ago
Elementary is much needed intellectual drama. Please do not cut this show that delivers a strong and well-written crime drama week after week. Everything on television is so serialized these days. Elementary is a refreshing departure from the norm!!
Jess Grant - 7 years ago
I learn something new every episode of Elementary. It cleverly combines modern dilemmas with Arthur Conan Doyle references; it feels both cutting edge and authentic. The writing is always impressive; it is one of the few murder mysteries on television that I can't unravel in the first five minutes. The characters are not static; they grow and learn about themselves in a way that mirrors real life and draws us in. This show is not a fast paced, action packed, shallow dish of cliches - it requires thoughtfulness and attention. It ebbs and flows in a timeless, sustaining way; there is true beauty in its subtleties and sincerity. I will truly mourn if this brilliant show ends!
Roslyn McKenzie - 7 years ago
I really love this show. It's so hard to find a good investigative drama and this fits right into my kind of show. Please don't cancel. Maybe expanding more would open up the door and bring up the ratings.

Stephen Graham - 7 years ago
Great characters like Sherlock Holmes never grow old. Yes, Watson as a woman was unique and a novelty; Lucy Liu has won all Sherlockians over. But clever writing and inspired updates on century old storylines have not grown stale. Elementary is a rare treat from the usual crime drama that relies on sex and violence as opposed to deductive reasoning. SAVE Elementary!!!
Marj - 7 years ago
The casting is great. Nothing is dumbed down. The plots are varied and believable - novel idea. The humanizing of Sherlock has wonderfully and slowly been unfolded. Joan has been given some real credibility - maybe a bit more please. And I LOVE Aiden Quinn. I voted YES - big surprise.

Ross Johnson - 7 years ago
Two commentators, actually. My wife and I are equally enthusiastic about Elementary. Unusual chains of circumstance, sharp (but not outrageous) twists of plot line, dialogue that fairly reeks of intelligence and wit. These are only a few of the reasons we enjoy watching Holmes, Watson, and Company. I very seldom laugh out loud, or exclaim in delight at a line of dialogue, during a TV show or movie, yet scarcely an episode goes by in Elementary where my dear partner is not startled off the couch by an explosive guffaw. Intelligence rather than pure physical action is so rare in TV presently, as is a show which by and large eschews bad language. We both want to continue to enjoy this rare gem of a show. SHERLOCK LIVES!!

The fact that I would spend the amount of time I have searching to make these comments speaks volumes towards how I feel about the show. I have purchased all of the boxed sets of series.
My telling key about the series is the chemistry of the cast. Especially, but limited to Holmes and Watson.
Even admitting that there have lapses in excitement in some of the episodes, my wife and I look forward to a weekly visit to the brownstone.
Please keep the show!!
Susan - 7 years ago

Elementary is one of CBS best shows and it is one of the best on tv. CBS needs to promote it more. Elementary must stay on. Please return it to Thursday night.
I love the fact that the endings are not pedictable. It is so much fun to try and figure out whose done it.
Finally, it is the only show my family can all agree on.
Watson rules!
