Yes, there should be a lossless option and TIDAL Hifi is markedly better, real better. That said, .mp3 quality or the like Apple Music provide is not that bad, despite the snobs around. It serves its purpose. But having the choice within the Apple ecosystem would be nice.

Who are these sad 72%'ers in the poll who prefer to listen to crap sound quality to save $10 a month. Do they barely ever listen to music? Do they not watch movies in HD?
Apple - who charge 5000% margin, who don't pay their taxes, who bring out systems that do not connect to other devices, who went bust many years ago and only survive on Mr Jobs ideas (RIP), who have no future when their massive money supply (from the people they rip off) finally runs out - no way would I ever use Apple streaming!

I would pay to own a lossless music file. It is 2017 and it is ridiculous that they haven't been selling lossless music. Most songs are submitted to Apple in high-res, so offering at least CD-quality downloads should be a no-brainer. It just might revive their download business.

Some people are just happy to stram bad quality movies, camcorder recordings etc. I'd rather watch movies in the best quality possible. Same with music.
If people want to pay for crappy mp3 and use the default shitty headphones they get with their mobiles - let them suffer. But those who want to hear what the artist intended and worked for months to achive should be able to stream in high quality.
I for one use great headphones and finally enjoy music on the go. I am happy to pay more if qulaity is available.
Bring on the HD Spotify!

I would not pay more than the current price, but I would sign up for their service at the current pricing if they added HD audio streaming. I'd also purchase more audio from iTunes if HD audio were an option. Its insane that this is not available.

No way. I wouldn't pay for Apple Music on the first place. My entire audio collection, 500GB, is in lossless. My Apple Music trial destroyed my music library and Apple couldn't solve it so I had to conclude they simply can't be trusted. Apple are way too late to the party to introduce lossless. And to introduce it for streaming seems just daft. Their iTunes purchased content should have been available in lossless years and years ago. Why can you buy an HD movie (>1GB) but buying an album of music cannot be lossless at

I thought Apple Music was already lossless AAC. I'm surprised if it isn't. Although I don't subscribe any more, the quality is far superior than Spotify 320k mp3 and the data usage was extremely low. The first month I went to Spotify I blew my data usage limit when I would never get close with Apple Music Streaming.

At first I would like to see that Apple enables is Apple Music API to other multiroom solutions than Sonos only. As a current (Denon) Heos user I find it remarkable that I can choose among a lot of streaming services, but Apple Music still isn't one of them.
Since Spotify is now also offering lossless music it gets more tempting to trade in Apple Music for Spotify.

Why would I want to use my bandwith to stream lossless audio? Most people don't even have the audio equipment to benefit from lossless audio. People that are really interested in lossless audio don't want it through a stream. They want the actual file.
