The proposed aquatic facility will almost certainly come at the cost of the other two town pools, do you agree?

I agree with Ben Taylor. Having an additional pool for training or dedicated swimmers just doing laps, should not affect the other pools. They will still be needed by schools and families wanting to swim. It sounds harsh but its hard to train in a pool with only 2 or 3 lanes available with the rest full of kids throwing balls and swimming into the lanes. A separate pull for dedicated swimmers is an amazing idea.

The region is in desperate need of a year round facility, but why at the cost of both existing pools? considering the existing pools are only open during the warmer months. Is the council looking more at "revenue" than health, wellbeing & participation within the greater community? An all year facility would draw patronage from a greater area & for some events that could be held state wide & interstate. ????
