Spring means getting outside with the great gran daughter and teaching her to love nature and the great outdoors. We have been riding the golf cart all day and everything is budding out. Dogwoods are almost in bloom.
Love the azaleas and camellias here. Farmers Market and grilled everything!

I'm excited about finally getting to cut fresh asparagus from my garden that I planted 3 yrs ago, it's going to be fantastic!
My favorite flowers in the springtime are the wildflowers that bloom! Bluebonnets, Indian blankets, and Indian paintbrushes to name a few. :)
My honey loves to cook on the grill which is great because it doesn't heat up the house and gives me time to be outside!

Awe!!!! Spring !!! All things green, I'm in heaven, I love the daffodils, tulips and walking throw gardening centers looking at all he new plants asking questions. Can't wait to get my hands in the dirt....lol have already broken all my fingernails. My favorite time of the year!

I love making Lemon Meringue Pie and we just bought 1/2 a hog, so I voted on bacon because we have freshly smoked bacon from a local family owned farm!
I'm teaching my kids how to make lemon pie and using a crumb crust from blended GingerBread Cookies!
We grill all year long. The best bacon cheese burgers are homemade. Delish.

I chose grilling because I wouldn't bake a carrot cake or rhubard pie. But I do love baking blueberry and lemon muffins as my first Spring thing! I don't know why but that reminds me of Spring. :)

Really...pies, pies, pies. My son is getting married in 15 days (!) and I'm making little individual pies in mason jars, freezing them, then I'll bake them the day of the rehearsal dinner. Fingers crossed!

I don't get a spring break. I live in a condo with no outdoor area for plants. Spring cleaning? Something my mom did or rather made me do. But rhubarb pie? YES!

Up here in Canada, we grab every chance we get to do some grilling! Even if we have to find a spot where the wind can't get at us, and bundle up in a nice warm jacket!!
