Never given the chance to play regularly and overcome the lefty vs lefty bugaboo. Good enough defense and to my mind one of the smoothest, best swings in baseball (take another look at highlight video of his 4 home run game) --- and Oh!, did I mention his 4 home game or his 4 grand slams for the Reds? But, of course, 2017 was either a fluke or a breakout year for Gennett. We'll see.
Scooter was nothing more than a mediocre platoon player at 2nd base. Why do you think they couldn't even get a trade partner?

It came down to numbers. Aguilar had great spring and is needed because Thames is no sure thing. Best of luck with Reds Scooter and thanks for positive attitude.

sure, good guy. never fulfilled his potential. perhaps change in scenery will be good for him. wish him all the luck in the world.
No reason not to like the guy. He played hard, had respectable numbers and wasn't a cancer in the clubhouse to my knowledge. He seems like a good guy. He just didn't fit in to the team's overall plan this season. Brewer fans should wish him well.
