So all of those against this passing I have a thought. The next time you or someone gets held at gun point to get robbed make sure to ask them to see their gun permit before giving them what they came to take from you. Sounds ridicules right ? Why are you so worried about law abiding citizens then those who actually want to rob you with a firearm illegally ? I don't understand why is it backwards ?

YES... If you pass a federal background check you should be able to carry a concealed gun... Plain and simple.. It's just common scene.. Concealing a gun is much better and safer than having it exposed and handled in public.. The bad guys have theirs concealed...

If you pass a federal background check you should NOT need to pay the state to exercise your Constitutional right. More importantly those with a legal right to own and open carry and handgun in Michigan are put in jeopardy each and every time they go to a gun range, to their place of business or just shopping. They are required to expose that weapon to the public. Seeing a handgun causes people to panic and make unnecessary calls to police. Criminals that happen to see someone disarming and placing a handgun in the truck of a car could easily car jack or follow and rob that person. Michigan is an OPEN Carry state.
For those that voted no, ask yourself this.. Would you rather I have my gun concealed or out in the open? Again I am a law abiding Michigan citizen with the right to Open Carry.

My 30 year old son drove a truck and did not know the gun was on seat, he is a hard working been working ever since he was 20, 7 years at one place, I am so worried what is going to happen to him, he did not have gun permit, trial is coming up in June 2017. Ppl don't understand driver license is a privilege, to bear arms is your "RIGHTS". So why should you have to pay the government for your rights and they put stipulations on your "RIGHTS". I think this the best thing they could have ever did.

People need a license to drive a car. People should need a permit to carry a gun whether it is openly carried, or concealed.

With how crazy the world is I believe as a law abiding citizen I should be able to carry a gun or pistol. Because the bad person is going to carry one whether he/she is breaking the law or not. So that puts good citizens at risk if they can't protect themselves with the equivelent power as the criminal.
