My husband made us deluxe breakfast of omelette, sausage and blueberry banana pancakes with coffee! And I have the rest of the day off to relax and do whatever I want. Simply lovely and thoughtful! So thankful!
It's my daughters first Mother's Day so I painted my granddaughters had and feet as a butterfly and roses!!!
I had a truly wonderful mother who is now in heaven. She was selfless and always focused on the needs of her children and her husband. She was wise, giving and always kind....A tremendous roll model for what a woman, a wife and mother could be. She was very well read and instilled a love of books in all of us. I don't believe she had a prejudiced thought in her mind and taught us the worth and equality of all people. I cherish that gift from her and my father
after church we have a cookout at the creek behind our house just spending the day together susan
Spend time with my grown children is my favorite gift from them !
I'll be joining my children and grandchildren at church in the morning, followed by a relaxed afternoon of counting my blessings.
I would be thrilled to death if my children (or grandchildren) sent me anything made by hand. It's truly one of those special memories!
Our daughters still live at home, and they are always extra helpful on Mother's Day! We enjoy spending time together; going for ice cream, shopping, etc.
Looking forward to spending Sunday with my husband and children! Happy Mother's Day!
Looking forward to earning the title, Mom with my kiddo's :)
We just hang out and sometime go for lunch together or whatever we feel like doing!
I will spend time with my beloved family!
Phone call!! Too far to see on the day, but catching up and hearing my son's voice is the best.
Since I live so far from my grown children they always send me flowers which I love but I wish I could spend the day with them too.
I love anything that they make me. Its like a keepsake of that time when they made it. Something I will forever keep.
A few years ago my husband gave me a journal and every year the kids write a note or draw/scribble a picture for me (they are only 7,5,3 years old). They do this instead of getting me a card. It is my favorite thing every year. It is something I will cherish forever.
It's all about the time spent together! Jewelry isn't so bad as a second choice though!
Happy Mothers Day y'all and God bless. Love you bunches Momma ????
I love when we all go golfing together and then a wine and cheese party!
Just spending the day with my girls.
Spending the day with my mom was a special treat. Lunch, shopping, coffee and laughter. It can't get much better
I love flowers and I can either put them on my table or plant them in the yard.
But this year my baby girl and grand daughter was found on my couch last Saturday morning from Ohio, to be here for our Mother's Day brunch that we have give out mothers for the past 6 years. I was so excited to see them. It was wonderful! Now this Sunday I will go spend the day with my mom!
I love gifts :) but my most favorite gift to receive is.....a relaxing day with my family. Just chillin and having a fun time being together. I love to be outside, so a trip to the farmer's market or strolling through a nearby city with antique shops, hanging out at Disney or simply taking a walk and exploring, then having a picnic. It's the simple things that makes great memories!!
My most favorite gift to give.....something that really makes the receiver feel fantabulous on their special day! I try to be attentive and make the gift personable.
Potted plant or a flower basket. My mom loves flowers, and, for me, it's nice to pause and appreciate those flowers - and what they represent - during a busy day.
Spending time with my boys.
I absolutely love when we are all able to gather together for Mother's Day (or any day for that matter). My youngest works hospitality so she is never home on holidays, my son lives 18 hours away with 3 of my grandchildren so we rarely see them and that leave one daughter and her family to celebrate with me. I enjoy it but I miss the rest of my family. Happy Mother's Day to all us Moms out there. I hope your day is wonderful!
A card that has a handwritten note is my favorite
In a time when sooooo much is done via texts & emails, it's the personal touch that a card represents:
1. Taking the time to choose a card.
2. Writing a thoughtful personal message.
3. Putting a stamp on it & mailing it.
The 'personal touch of a card is a wonderful gesture.
Love, Love, Love my mom! She has lots of grace, (especially with 9 of us)!
The little handprints always touched my heart!
My love language is acts of service, so I never want gifts for Mother's Day, though the family usually goes that route. And I do appreciate their doing so. But if you want to make my heart sing and feel truly loved, clean the house, do the dishes, mow the yard, mop the floor, etc. Having home be homey is my favorite and making it so shows love to me.
Happy Momma's Day to all the ladies. And for those whose momma is no longer here, know that I'm praying for you to be filled with sweet memories that bring a smile in the midst of missing her.
I believe time is the best gift to give or receive on Mother's Day. I am blessed that my mother is still with us and I love spending time with her. And as a mother myself, the time that I spend with my children and their families is priceless.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms!!
As I live over 1000 miles from my children I always look forward for their telephone calls; but the calls from them on Mother's Day is always extra special. I was a single mom from the time the youngest was 1 1/2 and one year she sent me a Father's Day card. I do believe that was the most special card I ever receive
I have always enjoyed getting perennial plants from my kiddos, and of course a day fishing with the family is awesome.
When they were small my kids would pick the wildflower cowslips for me. They're all grownup now & they still do it.
Happy Mother's Day to one and all!
Although my mom has passed I always bring her flowers.
My kids live so far away (six hours and twelve hours). I'm happy with a phone call.
Mothers Day is the only day all year that my kids volunteer to clean their rooms. No begging, pleading, or arguing... best gift ever!
Last year my baby gave me a silver Tiffany & Co. heart pendant necklace engraved with "Mom." It's pretty but I love the one who gave it to me more!
Not even sure what the perfect gift would be. Love just being together. ❤️
