I understand aspect, but not sure about the reasons behind it. Campbell talks about the 'viewpoint' of the imperfect, the present, and the perfect and their 'remoteness' and proximity (the perfect is less remote). Why would this be important? Isn't this about what Porter calls 'markedness' or prominence? Wouldn't this mean that the perfect could be considered the most prominent since it would contain more detail or a more closer view?
I'm very confident in my understanding--but what if my understanding is wrong?
Maybe you could define aspect with examples and see if that is new or different from what we are already "confident" about.
