Peralta is definitely an asset as a long reliever but he is too inconsistent to be in the starting rotation. He is like Tyler thornburg was the last couple of seasons. He can throw hard but struggles with location. To be a successful starting pitcher, location is everything.
I just don't think he will make a Good Quality Pitcher there is something about the End of his Delivery he looks so clumsey like he will fall. don't know if that has anything to do with his control or follow thru just do not think he will make a pitcher.
I voted bullpen, but I really think he and the Crew would be better off if he played elsewhere.
In my opinion, he has never live up to his potential even if he(and Davies) are 5-2 currently. Both have benefited by the early hot hitting of the team.
I hopes he pitches well where ever he pitches or whatever role.
I like the guy, but he was billed as a phenom when he came up, and other than a couple of serviceable seasons, he has fallen short and is a #4-5 at best.
and as an old crank English teacher, he doesn't even spell his name correctly;
I've called him Wiley since he came up...like the coyote...not Willy ...but that's irrelevant....
I no longer think he can or will be part of the team
that makes a play-off and/or championship run.
