Contrary to the contriarian comment above, Gary, Keith and Ron are perhaps the most knowlwdegable broadcast team for the home team. And yes, they will criticize the players, the managers, the coaches, plays, etc. when necessary. And they will heap praise on opposing players when warranted. The stories are plentiful from 1986 of course but why not? There are stories dating back to the beginning, too. Jim Webb and Shannon Forde are still remembered and mentioned. Ridiculousness of any Baseball matter, even if Mets related, is discussed. And my favorite aspect is the fun banter especially when Mets are losing badly. The Keith-isms and the SAT worthy vocabulary of Gary and Ron. For anyone to say this trio is insufferable must be a fan of another NL East team. GKR are the best there is in the NL East.

Every effin' inning it is about 1969, 1986, or now 2015. They act as if they're the smatest, most cleverest people in the room. They're not. Far from mental giants, they're simply ex-ballplayers who really aren't all that insightful. God forbid you are a fan of the opposing team - they will nitpick at every flaw of the opposition while overlooking the Mets. It's an insufferable lot.
