When they can spell "elementary " which this paper apparently cannot.

This is a silly poll. Children get cell phones when their parents decide. After all, it is not like a 6 year old can go into a store and purchase a phone. Actually, contracts with children are unenforceable.
In this day of unmarried parents and divorced parents, sometimes children get phones to stay in contact with the non-custodial parents. You really want to put a age requirement on a child's contact with his parents?
