Darvish has 52 wins in the 5 years he has been here. There is a reason the Rangers never even negotiated to extend or give him a new contract. He might help the Dodgers this year, but I bet they don't offer him more years either.

I'm shocked how much they got for Darvish

The Dodgers gave up their #7 and #20 prospects, and a guy who fell out of the top 20 and is probably around #25 now. None of those guys were ever going to replace anyone currently on the squad, the bottom two might never have been called up at all. They keep all the gems of the prospects, and get an solid rental arm for the playoffs for a near-zero cost. Yu has struggled recently, but with a different coaching staff and the electric clubhouse atmosphere in LA, I'm betting he comes back to life. It's clearly a winning trade for the Dodgers.

A great move by the Dodgers. They give up a kid who likely would never be a part of their roster because of defensive questions and two lower level kids who might get to the show for a guy who very likely could be the missing piece on a team that is arguably the best in the game, right now. Kudos to Zaidi, Friedman and Company for not giving up when the Britton deal never got traction.

The Dodgers won't regret it one bit if they win it all. A ring is better than a star without a ring every day of the week.

This is one of these trades where the prospect will turn out to be a bigger star. (Willie Calhoun).

Dodgers will regret it since Yu is all hype.
