They have a really good team but I just think the eastern conference is too good. I think they miss by one point, wouldn't surprise me if they made the playoffs though.

With one of the best young up and coming defenses in the league coupled with Scott Darling, the expectation is a much improved team GAA and +/- If Aho, Lindholm, Teuvo, and Rask take a step, our offense should be fine. With the addition of Kruger our penalty kill should be even more stout, which leaves Jordan Staal more time to devote to offensive responsibilities. With Fleury coming up and the addition of TVR our 3rd d pair should actually be competent and not a complete vulnerable hot mess. Throw in the possibility of a rookie coming up and shining such as Gauthier and/or Kuokkanen, we should be quite the sight to see. Lastly given this year's schedule of having a more spread out October, which includes 5 home games, our State Fair road trip shouldn't be so brutal like it has in years past. Oh, and who forget Justin Williams being back to provide veteran leadership and a be a solid top 6 two way forward with the capability to reach 40+ pts. We protected home ice pretty well, now if we can just play better away, we should be set.
