My garden didn't produce much this year, but it was not from lack of trying. I'm going to work on my soil this winter by adding my chicken, kitchen and yard compost into it and try again next year. I did have a lot of cucumbers and made many jars of pickles and relish. I'm not growing as many cucumbers next year, I'm tired of making so many pickles and we don't eat that many. I've still got some bell peppers, squash, and cantaloupe. A critter got my only small watermelon that was growing and something ate everyone of my peaches I had on my tree. Dang critters! My dear hubby will build something to keep critters away from the peach tree next year. I love to grow things and raise animals. I like to be as self sufficient as possible.
