Ken, you´re right: "....All things considered, he is with the perfect organization for his career and life at this time." Tanaka should not leave the Yankees. The money he´s making is more than enough for the rest of his life, plus, that elbow issue is definitely, a major obstacle, to go and search for more money in other teams. He owes that loyalty to the Yankees; they stood along with him in his arm troubles, during these past four years, and by giving him a seven year multi millionaire contract. Now, it´s his opportunity to repay that loyalty. Plus, ¡¡¡$67.000.000 more!!! How greedy could you get, to ask for more?

Masahiro Tanaka is obviously a quality pitcher. That said, he has had his ups and downs (currently on a major upswing), and with the elbow issue he does cause voncern for all teams. All things considered, he is with the perfect organization for his career and life at this time.

Given how pitching-starved teams are, he will opt out and find a deal someplace. I certainly wouldn't sign him - all pitchers carry risk but his is enormous. I would have zero interest in this guy.

The Yankees pitching..will need to get younger any pitcher that's not afraid of Free agency to make more money is foolish...but the Yankees are a team up & coming a few pieces away from the W.S....but Not this year.
