I wouldn't want to be held to ransom by the powers that be + with the available technology like HAARP, the ability of global electromagnetic controlled weather warfare to create hurricanes & earthquakes also comes the ability to wipe out electricity power & communication systems of whole regions.

I would resist the cashless society rigorously. As a collector of notes and coins it would be a great shame if they disappeared altogether, although their value would increase. As a normal member of society I sometimes have little money available in my account and would be mortified and ashamed if my card was rejected because I had less than a pound in it. Not for me.

We should still keep coins & notes as not everybody has a visa or debit facility on their bank carx, also its a nice feeling when your walking around with a little cash in your pocket sometimes its just easier to purchase by cash instead of card.

I much prefer cash payments as I can keep better control of what I have. I do use debit and credit cards but only when payment is online or by telephone. I don't trust the banks to keep my finances safe either. I have seen what has happened in other Countries when customers cannot access their accounts !

People were talking about no need for cash when I worked for a cash in transit company, in the late 1960's. The credit card came out about them. Brought out by Barclays. In a lot of cases cash is quicker, this new tap the card is quicker. But I still like my cash I feel richer.

At avery high class Cheese Fair recently ONLY cash was allowed. Also this is the case with most Fetes around the country. Cashless would only cause trouble for these types of local fund raisers.
