Public health considerations should trump all other considerations. Buy a natural gas or propane firepit and show somw common decency.

Again laws are penalizing the many for the few who can't or won't burn respective. I, too, have lung problems but banning or restricting backyard fires is not the answer. If city council is going to enforce this and they should look at all the air pollution from vehicles and big corporations. That pollution affects my lungs more then sitting around a camp fire. As a low income person having a fire pit reminds me of camping especially when I can't afford to get out of the city.

Let's all work with our neighbours and keep BIG BROTHER out of neighbourhoods and backyards. Let's enforce current laws. City wants to put a useless law on the books that reduces our freedom. If the City is not enforcing current laws, then they should be rescinded. Let's keep the Council busy in 2018 and 19 rescinding all of the useless laws that we have built up over the years.
