Zach Shupp, Fairfield – He was the third-ever four-time Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association champion. He was named MVP.
Jarman Hargrove, Aiken – He went 5-0 at the Walnut Hills Dual Tournament in the 106-pound weight class. As a freshman, he is near the top of the leader board in wins at 12.
Shay Horton, Ryle – The junior, ranked first in the state at 113 pounds, won a key championship match to help Ryle win the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference title.
Kairus Washington, Dixie Heights – Ranked first in the state at 285 pounds, Washington improved to 19-0 with a first-period pin in the finals.
Alejandro Majia, Simon Kenton – The unranked sophomore improved to 15-6 overall by winning at 138 over Holmes junior Diontae Rone (17-2). The match was one of the most dramatic of the finals, with Majia winning 8-2 in double overtime.
