Which WR should the Bears target in free agency?

Don't need big WRs in Nagy' s O. He will be looking for quick twitch receivers who can get open quick and work in space. Landry would be best among these guys if price is right. 4th and 5th round is where they will probably target guys with questionable size but good route runners with speed.

Sign Landry and get the #1 Wr in cortland Sutton! Keep Inman and Wright and cam merideth cut the rest of those bums!

I wouldn't take any of them.
Go after a top cb and DL in the FA
Draft Cortland Sutton he's big, fast, great hands
Best WR I've seen in the draft in a long time.
Plus the CB position is stacked this year in FA
And the D line so it would only make sense to look there for a better answer to our problems cause I highly doubt we get a top cb or DL in the draft..

Robinson is hurt ACL injury sammie an landry to the Bears

I think P. Rich would be affordable and that kid can high point a football. Get him in free agency and draft Christian Kirk!! Kirk can move around and be outright unstoppable, and he is an outstanding return man. Don't overpay in free agency please...and no divas like Landry or Watkins.

Jarvis only had all them catches cuz who else Miami got at wr?

So everyone thinks we should go all in on another slot reciever? Hmm ????????????

  • Miguel - 6 years ago

People who think Landry is a #1 receiver are mistaken, he is s slot receiver. Even if they sign him we would still have no outside weapons. Bears need to get Allen Robinson(#1), Paul Richardson(#2) and Albert Wilson(slot)

Allen Robinson the only TRUE #1 on the list. Knee injury concern but this the only year he missed games besides his rookie year. Jarvis Landry is a SLOT wr who gonna pay a slot guy #1 money to move the chains on 3rd down? Landry has never had double digit TDs. We need someone who can play the outside, take the top off and/or high point the ball for RED ZONE TDs. You could get Brice Butler and/or Paul Richardson which ever is cheaper than Kendall Wright for speed. Willie Snead can play slot and a lot cheaper than Landry. Josh Gordon and Tyrelle Proyor If the money is right. Drop Wheaton save yourself the cap space. Sign Meredith and Inman to a prove it deal. Go after Robinson If he's right and the money is right. DO NOT draft Calvin Ridley please don’t be dumb I don’t want a poor man’s version of Amari Cooper! He is not built like Julio Jones and a little thinner than Cooper. Amari Cooper isn’t even that great without Crabtree. In draft if you want a WR trade down and get more picks if not draft best player available preferably defense or offensive lineman.

Landry is best out of the slot... just like Meredith. Cam isn't a true 1 a 2 at best this stage in his career, same as Landry. There are no true 1's just n free agency. FA is rarely a place to get 1s. Ridley seems like a slot or 2 out of Alabama. White, unfortunately, is the only one to attempt to be a 1 or2 type receiver ok n the roster. Plus the bears would be foolish to write off white already. They have to pay him for 2018. They cannot get a Jeffery type player back - huge mistake to let him go (on paper). While I think with Cam, Kev healthily c o mbo could be good they are missing 1-2 more.

Landry is the Best Option; But I dont Think he worth the Price he is Asking For. We can Keep Kendall Wright for much cheaper. Allen is a Good Receiver, but he is coming off a Knee Injury just like Cam Meredith. Doesnt Make Any Sense to have 2 Receivers with injuries. Watkins has over the Top Speed, but he is inconsistent. If I was Ryan Pace Ill Draft Iowa CB Josh Jackson to pair with Fuller. Kirk, Coutee, and Cobbs will be available in later rounds. If not Jackson or Payne with 1st Pick Ill trade Down with Buffalo

Landry is the only name on the list that is a #1 wide receiver. He also does not have the injury concerns that both Watkins and Robinson have. I think Richardson has some upside it would depend on the money. As far as the draft goes an interesting situation could develop allowing them to move down and grab Buffalo's 1st rounders which might be better if no wide receivers or tackles are good enough to select in the top 10. I like Sutton over Ridley but if his 40 is slow then the opposite. I also think Gallup is a nice sleeper late and Miller if he falls to the 3rd would be nice. Replacing Massie is a must McGlinchey, and Brown would be great . If we wait till the 2nd or later Wynn, Miller, or Williams. Corner is another area of need depending on what happens in free agency or before that. Will they try and bring back Fuller and Prince or just one of them. We could use someone opposite of Hicks i dont think Bullard / Unrein is the answer. When they cut Freeman more depth will be needed at lb. Back up Qb is an area of need as well. Glennon will ne gone and probably Sanchez right behind him. Lots of work to do. Hopefully Pace realizes last years mistakes. Glennon, Wheaton, Sims, Cooper, and Cruz were all big misses. That can't continue to happen. Proven players or players trending upward. Not 1 of those players fit that criteria. James at OT. Landry at Wr. Lots of Good almost elite Corners are available. I like the upside of Burton at Tight end. I think Ford could be a good De obviously Nagy would know better he played in K.C.

I think they need a veteran...get Megatron contract off the Lions at least for one year. The guy can still play

Landry won’t be worth the money he’ll command. Not saying that he isn’t a great WR option, but he’s not a #1 WR. Hesmore of a slot WR. I believe K.Wright can resign here and play that roll cheaper. I think the Bears should go after a tall, big #1 threat at WR. That’s why I think/vote they should sign Allen Robinson. He and Trubisky can grow into quite a tandem together. This way they won’t have to concentrate on WR early in the draft (Cobbs in the 4th round, out of Indiana, would be a nice target for them) if they could sign Robinson. Drafting Ridley (Alabama) will be a mistake. Draft the best player available that early, regardless of need. I’d go defense with that 8th overall pick - or even grab G/Quentin Nelson out of Notre Dame. Build that line and defense. I’d say go CB too but there are no true shutdown CB’s this year (maybe Ward out of Ohio State?). But anyway, A.Robinson (if deemed 100% healthy) would be my #1 WR target if I was the Bears. And the way Nagy is assembling his coaching staff, I could see them getting very lucky on an undrafted free agent WR, one that’ll be surprisingly productive (maybe Tabor can find our new Hester).
    GO BEARS!!!!
