I prefer #2. I fear you would tire of #1. #2 adds softness and is classy.

I think it's pretty clear that second choice #1 is really#2....and that's the one I prefer. However...either of these will work beautifully. Lovely plans.

Since you have two number ones in your slate to vote............it is difficult to know which #1 goes with which picture.
But my vote is for the rectangular table......for the same reasons you chose.........perfect......the change up gives the traditional element,
I'm wondering how the sliding mechanism will hold up being exposed to an open air room year round for the other table......must keep it paraffin coated.

I wonder about the legs interfering more with chair legs with table #2.
