Garrison Herfel, Highlands – Named most outstanding boys swimmer of the Scott Classic, he won two individual events and helped in both relays to titles as Highlands unseated Covington Catholic to win the overall title.
Tyler Babinec, Milford - Babinec broke his own school record in the 100 breaststroke at the Southwest Ohio Swimming & Diving Classic, winning the event with a time of 56.36. He also broke a 10-yard old Milford mark in the consolation final of the 200 individual medley with a mark of 1:57.10. Babinec earned second in the 200 breaststroke (2:04.13) and swam the lead-off leg of the second place 200 freestyle relay (1:28.42) and rounded out his weekend on the 400 medley relay team that took sixth, while qualifying for the consolation final in the 50 freestyle.
Justin Grender, St. Xavier – Helping St. Xavier to an overall team title, the senior finished first in the 50 freestyle with a time of :20.44 to set a meet record the Southwest Ohio Swimming & Diving Classic Jan. 14. He also finished first in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke, and second in the 100 freestyle.
Noah Vigran, Indian Hill – He won the 1-meter dive championship at the Southwest Ohio Swimming & Diving Classic Jan. 14 with a score of 559.
Greg Kalin, Seven Hills – His four top-eight finishes in the Southwest Ohio Swimming & Diving Classic Jan. 14 helped pace Seven Hills to a second-place finish in the meet. His highest finish was second place in the 100 backstroke.
