Only once and we have been traveling to Mexico for over 30 years. I buy from beach vendors, love the fresh fruit cups. Some of the best tasting food are made by the street vendors. When you smell some of food grilling on the street carts you know it is going to taste great. Almost all take care as they are located in the same spot and do not want their reputation spoiled. They also rely on return customers .Forgot to mention the small vendors selling their own baking, so good.

I have lived in Mexico now for over 15 years and have never been sick from eating street food. I have traveled from the US border all the way to Guatamala and stoppped even in small towns for great food. These vendors know that just one bad day of food will ruin their biz.

Is the Pope Catholic? I've lived in Mexico for 33 years. Anyone is bound to have the experience every once and a while, on the street or in a restaurant.

Oh my. If you ever do get really sick from street or restaurant food, Ed, you may just have to change your mind about those amoebas, parasites and salmonella being all in your cabeza. That’s just being an ignoramus—hope you never find out how wrong you are. Doesn’t happen to me or my friends often, but when it does, it’s pretty damn painful for something we’re all just making up.

Never from food but from drinking a drink with block Ice. I will never do that again. The Aguas on the street corner are so appealing on a hot day but ...no...I won't do it. I have seen the man who delivers big blocks of ice take it from the truck and set it down on the sidewalk. ugh!

Used to go to Ensenada often from SOCO and always stopped at the same taco vender in TJ. Almost always paid the price but it was worth it.

I' ve eaten street food in Mexico and I did'nt have any problems.a lot of it's all in yor head.besides it's so good you don't want to pass it up

Ive eaten Mexican street food for years and dont remember getting sick from it. Some isnt very good thats for sure but as far as making me sick Ive never had any problems.

Yes twice i have had food poisoning following eating almecas chocolates at a carrito. But chocolate clams are so,good, i keep,on Going back.
