I only voted no because as an Army brat, I didn't have any black teachers until I went to college.

I'm black and grades K through 12 I never had any black teachers. Actually , the only black teacher I remember was a Nursing School instructor in college. I'm happy to say that at least half of my childrens teachers are black. I find them to be tough AND encouraging. Shout out to my son's history teacher and her huge Black Lives Matter poster!!!

Mostly all my teachers were Jewish, Italian or Irish. It was a NYC school thing definitely in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
