There is great hope emerging with the Internet/ Social Media all knowing population in the 15-35 year age bracket. They sense the potential of their homeland. They have seen hints of it all about the world. I am confident they will lessen corruption bit by bit. They are the future of this nation, as rich as France but with near half its people in poverty due to run away corruption that robs 30-40% of all wealth. Imagine how can it be that Mexico with a GNP next to France has villages that receive water only 6 hours a week, has 1000s of children dying of failed kidneys in a land only the rest of the world knows is #2 for this in the world, and has over 30 million of its citizens earning less than $10/day. The energy of the sun is one of the greatest blessings of this land. The potential of of high valued agriculture that may produce 10 times as much food with the same water now growing corn and beans shall be a major move forward.

Corruption - at all levels. It's worse here in MX now than I have ever seen it (here permanently for 24 years)
I think Trump is good for the USA. I'm not sure our MX government is "for the people" so much as it is for itself.
Since the elections last July, my area has seen over 70 deaths and tepic has seen close to 400.
Sure, mostly all are drug dealers being wiped out by the Nuevo Jalisco gang but there has been NO REAL SUPPORT from the Nay governor, probably because he is complicit. So much for tourism in Nayarit ( north of Rincon)
The previous governor didn't have these issues - curfues in small towns, overt the extortion AND state government bullying. Of course his AG is in jail for a host of drug related crimes so make your best guess.
As bad as the new Jalisco gang might be, they are certainly cleaning up a lot of trash - be careful tho because they want to be the ONLY GAME IN TOWN. then what?
Time will tell but 2018 is going to have some real challenges after the presidential election - not sure who I will vote for but not PRI and not AMLO.

A inept, corrupt and complicit government that can’t protect its people from the violence of organized crime. And a border with a country with an extreme hunger for drugs led by a wannabe dictator. The election may shake things up further. Poor Mexico.

The failure to recognize that it needs to take an offensive position with regard to it's values, the age of it's population, it's progress and it's safe environment (excluding a very high risk business serving a market need that is not under it's control)

I think it is “Trump” simply because he is the greatest unknown in the equation and is completely unpredictable in both behavior and actions. The others have been “great risks,” but Trump seems to be the greatest one this year.

or possibly all of the above!
