If you don't want to settle for mass market color choices and specs (like for the Galaxy S9/+), then eBay is your best choice for saving money. I paid less for the variant of my choice than the MSRP on the standard US variant at launch.

You get phones way cheaper on a tab with good plans on deals. Always check for deals with carriers. I save $400. On Google pixel 2 with carrier. ????????

I have been fortunate to get great service at a small, local electronics retailer. The shop has been inTrail BC for a few decades. Happy to buy local.

With a great old plan, I have been buying phones outright, as. I would have to change plans and comparitively, the new ones suck. I have found some amazing deals on one generation older phones on BHPHOTOVIDEO.COM. They are usually as (or more) aggressive as Amazon or eBay in their pricing, and I keep my plan!

Costco!!!
We have the best warranty!
We have the most in store credit!
The warranty comes with additional credit to help with accessories!
Accessories are prices 20% better than the same items in the malls.
We give you a car charger cause we're nice like that!
You know where to find us next week and that we'd better treat you well because the member is the center of the Costco universe!
Other cell phone sales people are jealous when they find out how good we have it!
Yes I'm biased! - I work here because I'm biased, not the other way around ;)
Plans are getting better. We've even been upgrading members who were holding onto their 6 year old 6GB plans. We always do the math across 2 years to make sure the contract option is good for you before advising in favour of it. (90% of the time the math says do a 2year, though less often on Apple prices)

This poll might be more useful if you had priority ranking or percentages... I've bought several phones over the years, some using Fido dollars, some direct from Google and Oneplus, some from ebay. Carriers are easily the most expensive these days

I used to work for Telus Mobility for over 10 years and I’d buy out right, never do contracts because I saw just how fast things chranged. Now I buy directly from manufacturer

Been buying them slightly used from eBay in the States for years. Save a lot that way and get the colours and specs I want, usually the highest capacity iPhone offered at the time.
